Super clean, well organized, friendly and accommodating staff. We stay here when visiting family in Wakefield, very nice. Convenient to the highway with lots of amenities nearby (restaurants, coffee shop, movie theater, shopping, etc.).
Great place. I live in the same complex. Lots of places to walk to, movies, coffee, pizza, nice and quiet.
Nice location in an upscale shopping area. New hotel with nice amenities. Good breakfast with lots to choose from and friendly service.
Horrible customer service! Horrible stay! When we first arrived (at 10pm) it took them over 5 minutes to locate our reservation. The manager insisted he could help us find a different hotel because they were sold out despite me having an email verification of the reservation. Eventually he found it. We went to the room but the latch was broken so we could not get in. I journeyed back to the front desk and told the manager. He said he had a "tool" to get us in. After 5 minutes of trying his "tool" and my wife and children standing in the hallway, he gave up and said he would call an offsite technician who would be there as soon as possible, but could not guarantee how soon. I insisted he keep trying his tool while we waited and he said he had another "tool". That was a crowbar. He forcibly ripped the latch off the door of the room and we got in. It was late so I said I would just stay in the room with no safety latch on the door. I turned on the heat as it was cold and the heater started a loud grinding noise. I knew I could never sleep with that loud noise so I notified the manager once again. He said he could not get a heater tech there that evening so I agreed to stay in the room with the heater off. After some playing with it I found that if I kept the heat low enough it would not be too loud. Since I was thirsty I decided to go the vending machine to get a soda. The ENTIRE MACHINE was empty. I went down the lobby to ask if there were other vending machines and the manager pointed me to another machine which was only half empty. I pushed the button to get a Pepsi and an orange soda came out. Instead of offering to comp my room after all of these problems, the manager only gave me a $25 gas card which was for a gas chain I never use. The next morning we went for their "free" breakfast to find cold eggs and cold sausage. I gave up. NEVER AGAIN! Run away from this hotel if you know what's good for you. Very low quality and absolutely no customer service. It actually made me consider changing to a different chain after years of dedication to Hilton/Hampton.
Best hotel in town. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were nice and clean. They have a good breakfast with waffles, eggs, and the other usual suspects. All the amenities were nice.
This is I believe a new hotel and it shows, very clean and in excellent condition. Staff was extremely nice and there is plenty of parking, the only issue on that is as a bus driver with a large coach bus the space between the partitions in the lot were narrow so it's very difficult to avoid going over curbs which can be costly if you blow a tire.
The breakfast was typical hotel free fare. Eggs were decent, waffle maker (I didn't have any, but I imagine they're the same as others). I did like the option of fresh donuts (I think they were Dunkin Donuts actually ) and cakes available. I also appreciate that the cereals were in individual boxes instead of the large dispenser, often when it's in the dispenser its stale. I despise anything "turkey"; in this case the turkey sausage instead of real sausage.
I'm putting this separate so it stands out! HAMPTON INN COFFEE IS ABOUT THE BEST OF ANY HOTEL CHAIN!
There is a convenience store there if you need, I didn't bother as they are usually very overpriced. Driving a tour bus makes it difficult to stop for food and it is disheartening to fathom spending half a days pay on food because you have no choice. I've learned to prepare. There are plenty of options to find food on your way there, including an Applebees in the same complex.
South Kingstown is just over the bridge from Newport and this is definitely a much better hotel than some that I've stayed in there, and for a better price. I highly recommend this hotel for individuals and groups, just remember to bring your own snacks.
Bedrooms are great but the heater is extremely noisy. Breakfast could be healthier, with fresh juice.
Stayed on the second floor and had two queen size bed. The place was great. Had complimentary breakfast until 10a and free WiFi. Loved the customer service and would come back again
This is a very good hotel, the staff here was very nice, and greeted us even when they weren't working! They were very nice and funny, and I enjoyed my time here
Friendly staff, clean rooms that are bigger than most other Hampton Inns I have stayed at, and a decent wifi, all make this my hotel when we come here. I like the attention to detail and timely replenishing of food and other consumables. Great place to stay.
The location is in a nice area. There are many stores, restaurants and even a movie theatre! The hotel staff is friendly. They have a nice breakfast included with your stay. They also have a pool and gym. We've been coming for years and feel right at home.
I stayed here for an accepted students day at URI and it was quite nice. The location was easy to find and the views were nice from our window. Service was what I would expect: kind and courteous but not overly helpful. The breakfast was okay, standard hotel fare. The hotel was very accessible to Newport and Narragansett. Overall a good experience and a good place to stay if you need to be in the area and don't want an expensive option.
Loved the stay here, the front desk was helpful and got me checked in early. When I lost my key and forgot my room number. They swiftly got me set straight.
