Staff was great, but I feel management needs to invest in some improvements. Walls and fixtures are very worn and poorly patched. Mold on the ceiling of the bathroom.
The hotel was ok, and had the usual hotel amenities, however the room and bathtub were slightly dirty, and the water pressure was barely enough to activate the shower. The staff were friendly however, and breakfast was good like other Hamptons.
Room service did such a great job in the room. HUGE high five to all the hard workers.
keep it up guys.
Only giving 1 star cause I have to. We were charged a $250 security deposit when other guests are only charged $50. They would not fix it and said it would just have to fall off. We were not not greeted with our gold member stays like we should have been and were not offered waters or snacks. When we got to our room the first thing we did was check it. There were stains on the sheets and the bed looked like it had been slept in. We couldn’t get the door to lock all the way because the handle was broken so there was easy access for anyone who wanted to, to just walk In. Every time we would leave the room we would have to take our belongings with us because of this issue. The second room we were moved to had hairs all in the bed and stains all over the towels. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of moving again so I just wiped them off and got new towels. We didn’t like to leave the room because every time we would pass by the front desk the front desk associates would give us a dirty look due to all the issues we had like it was our fault. When shower time came we saw that the tub had a ring of dirt around it and the walls were stained in a brown substance with rust all around the edges from them sitting the broken plug on the side of the bath. I was forced to shower in the pool area due to this because I didn’t want to step foot into the shower. We then proceeded to go to bed and when we did we were awoken about 4-5 times from teenage girls running down the halls from room to room and banging on the doors. I walked out and they had bras hanging all over the door handles. I called the front desk and all she said was she would see what was going on. We were not satisfied even a little by this hotel and will never ever return. We will be expecting a full refund of the security deposit and the cost of the room stay.
The manager took 3-weeks to call us back and said she would not block us a group of rooms for a wedding and there was a two night stay for Friday and Saturday nights due to a local event. We booked four rooms for Saturday and Sunday. We called over a week before check-in and they supposedly changed one of the rooms to Saturday night only. When we checked in they said all four rooms were a minimum two night stay, despite being told our reservation was updated. One room had dirty sheets and no towels. Another room had a dirty mattress pad in the closet and no towels. Our door lock is hard to open and the door will not latch easily. We have been in our rooms 4 hours and this place is a dated, mismanaged pit. Second night, two of the four rooms did not have towels and we had to request them. A score of one is better than they deserve.
Checked in at midnight. 3rd shift attendant was helpful and friendly. Room was nice. I met with the owners which were very nice . They were meeting with a contractor for a million dollar plus renovation on the hotel Can't wait to see the improvements.
This Hotel does not deserve the Hampton name. Hilton corporate needs to inspect this hotel. Rooms are dusty and dirty. Had little ants crawling on my night stand and earwig in the bathroom. I had this experience a few times so won't stay here anymore. This was a nice hotel years ago but cleaning and maintenance are bad.
This Hampton inn does not deserve the Hilton name. The first day we found a roach In both our rooms. The front desk said they would have the situation rectified by our return that night. But when we got back management would not move us or spray for bugs because they did not actually find anything themselves. Now we have found a bedbug on the wall. They still are not willing to do anything even though we have shown them the dead bug. (I have a photo). We have cancelled our last night reservation. I strongly suggest Staying away from this hotel.
Easy check in. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool was nice but needed more towels readily available. The most comfortable beds in any hotel I have ever stayed at. Breakfast was exceptional.
Stayed at this hotel for the last time ever. We have been staying at this hotel at least one time per year since 2007. But this past stay was the last straw. One visit a few years ago we had booked two rooms for two nights. We stayed the first night, and prepaid both rooms. However when we returned to the hotel the second night, I walked into one of the rooms (yes, the key worked), but there was a you woman sitting on the floor watching TV. I apologized and headed to the front desk. Because we took all of our stuff out of the room, they assumed we had checked out. The problem is, we had prepaid the room and we still had stuff in the second room. There were no rooms left, so we ended up having to rent a room across the street.
This last visit, we paid for one night with Hilton Honors points. However, we realized when we got home that they had charged our card full price for the room. We called the hotel but they were NOT at all helpful. Once we were able to talk to someone that seemed that they knew what we were talking about, they told us that we did not have enough points to cover the full price, so our room was only discounted. WRONG! If $139.00 is partial price for that hotel for one night, they are very over priced. We got nowhere with the hotel. The next call was to the corporate office. We produced all of the documentation from THEIR system that clearly stated that our night was covered, this alone was a feat! However, we did finally come to an agreement that we should not have been charged. ButHampton hotels cannot refund the money, it needs to be taken care of by the hotel itself. The corporate office worked with the hotel and convinced them that we were due a refund. We then received an email asking for paperwork from our credit card company that showed the detail of the charge. We produced that paperwork and then we were told that paperwork was insufficient. Here we are almost 3 weeks later and still no resolution. I am ending the conversation with Hampton and working with the credit card company to dispute the charge. I suspect we will get it resolved faster and to my satisfaction. Goodbye forever Hampton Innsespecially Marion.
Spacious room, had a fridge which I like. The elevator feels like a death trap but I tend to use the stairs. Plenty of parking, easy to get to the local disc golf course.
Our stay started off bad, as when we arrived we had to wait an hour and 30 minutes to get our room. They were short staffed and behind schedule. Once we got our room, everything went great from there. Everytime we left they made sure everything was restocked. The staff was friendly. The room was very clean. We misplaced one of our kids toys and they made sure we got it back.
Great rooms and great continental breakfast. I've never had a bad stay here!
Stayed for work. Nice size room with king bed, desk, and fold out couch. Very very clean. Only four star because the shower nozzle wouldn't close all the way in room 207, so the water pressure wasn't super strong. Great stay besides that. Good breakfast variety.
The Good: The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was relatively dark at night, although I had to block the light bleeding under the door and block the light from the microwave. The hotel was in a good location near several restaurants and close to the hospital if that is where you are visiting. The staff was friendly, and attentive.
The Bad: As mentioned, there was some light pollution at night from light bleeding under the door and from the microwave. But worse than that, was the lack of power outlets next to the bed. In this day and age, every hotel should take appropriate steps to provide power outlets next to the bed as smart phones are the typical way that travelers use for their alarm clock. In addition, laptops and/or tablets are likely to be used while in bed. Many of the hotels that I have traveled to, have figured this out and taken the necessary steps to provide that power.
The Ugly: There really wasn't anything that I would classify as ugly.
