Attended company Christmas party at the Resort. Staff was attentive and very professional. The food served was amazing. Everything was clean and decorations were beautiful.

Very nice resort on the lake. Room had a view of the lake. Chairs along the boardwalk were great for passing the time away. Great breakfast buffet.

We sat outside overlooking the lake on a perfect afternoon. The waiter who tended our table was helpful and attentive. The menu had plenty of options that all sounded excellent. One of us ordered a burger, another the seared tuna tacos, and a third and myself ordered the jumbalaya. It was a generous portion and absolutely delicious (and nicely on the spicy side). We didn't order any drinks as it was a work lunch, but the atmosphere, service, and food could accommodate about any occasion. Highly recommended.

Upon arrival, we were taken aback by how beautiful this place was. Check in was such a pleasant experience because the staff was beyond friendly. Once we got to our room, we were amazed at how tastefully done and clean it was. I have to mention the bed as well SOOO comfy!
The fire pits (wood provided) were such a nice touch, the views were spectacular and the food at the restaurant was beyond amazing!
We were sad to leave and seriously considered just moving in.

My husband and I went to Oakwood for a wedding, reception, and then took spend the night. The wedding and reception were beautiful. The room was brightly painted, with four poster beds that were comfortable. We went to the restaurant for lunch when we got there and breakfast the following morning. The food was quite good, especially the breakfast buffet with an omelet, crepe, and pancake station. The only problem we had was the maids woke my husband up early by making a lot of noise in the hall.

We just got married here July 8, 2017. Our experience was amazing! Our room was great (we had a suite). Julia our event planner was amazing. The staff throughout the entire resort is on top of things. All of our guests commented on how great the staff, food and how beautiful it was. The staff at the breakfast buffet was amazing as well. (Buffet is fantastic too). Thank you Oakwood for a Great experience to remember always. We will be back🤗

We recently experienced a wonderful stay at the Oakwood Resort. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. There is a lovely library that is stocked with an assortment of magazines and books. The common areas outside and inside are very clean and inviting. A game room and an exercise area are also available .The Spa offers many treatments with Avedo products, even though I did not have an opportunity to take advantage of them. The setting is beautiful. Will definitely plan to return.

This was my Second year attending a women's retreat at Oakwood. There have been improvements since my stay last year including a fridge included in every room now and the food is much better.

The bathrooms have your amenities in the shower hanging on the wall which is great and the atmosphere is overall serene.

The housekeeping may just have been overloaded, but We had a friend who said her room fridge wasn't checked and there was opened bottles of liquor in it. Also our windows had been left open (which isn't a big deal) however it had rained. So maybe just some more thorough checking when rooms are cleaned.

Overall the resort was accommodating and we had a great time be sure to visit the restaurant if you have time

Stayed for a long girls weekend out. Off season rates are amazing! Hotel very clean, staff very nice and accommodating. Heat would not adjust, but nothing opening the window didn't solve. Didn't call about it, it was middle of night, we wanted to sleep. Food was very good for dinner. Spa services not worth the prices. Message was nice, but manicure wasn't more than a polish change, that she thinned the polish down, and I had to remove as it never dried right. For your pedicure, you sit on a hard bench, and put your foot on a cutting board in the techs lap. Nothing but water for your soak, and no foot/ leg message. Tech also discussed too many things with staff in other rooms while I should have been getting services. For an Aveda Salon, HUGE disappointment.

Went for a women's retreat with our church. The rooms are big and beautiful and give the feel of an ocean resort in a small lake town. However, the heat didn't work right in our room and we froze all night as the temperature quickly dropped to 60 degrees in our room (it was 16 degrees outside). Other than that we had a great stay in a clean, beautiful, hospitable environment. Would absolutely recommend this to a friend. Just wish I would have had time to visit the spa!

Here for a marriage retreat with our church. Nice, clean rooms. Decent breakfast buffet. Great location! Looking forward to planning a getaway with my husband over the summer!
