We had a cheese plate, roasted kale and farro salad with scallops, and the chicken pastilla (picture). It was great. We always enjoy Halcyon.

I went to Halcyon for lunch with two friends because we had heard about the great burger they have. We were immediately seated outside (which was our preference). The ambiance is modern yet organic- we felt slightly underdressed but it didn't really matter.
We got gouda (eh), smoked salmon spread and prosciutto which came on a charcuterie board with honey, pickles, breads etc. We also ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was awesome and the burger which was overcooked but still good.
Overall a positive experience! We will be back.response / report this review -

I selected the Essence of Thyme cocktail. It was a delicious combination of chili-steeped tequila. Blood orange. Thyme. Violette syrup. It was garnished with a twig of Thyme and a sugar and salt rim.

The decor was a wonderful balance of organic and artsy. We had high hopes because we heard (and read) great reviews, but when we tasted our food the flavors were non-existent. For a Saturday night visit, we were not sure if it was the chef's night off, but our dining experience was lackluster and unremarkable. The hostess was friendly and professional. Our waitress seemed annoyed to be working or perhaps it was part of the general ere of cold/robotic service typically associated with a handful of upscale dining establishments.
The food presentation and the city view was beautiful. And while our dishes were artfully plated, unfortunately they lacked flavor. Seriously, it could've used some spice, salt, pepper, or some kind of inspiration! With each bite we awaited a moment of awe, which never materialized. We understand the menu changes daily and were eager to try these new creations. We ordered a dish with asparagus and an egg and hoped for something special but we were let down. It was less than ordinary at best. Sad to write we left disappointed. Again, we hope this was just a fluke and this was not the usual experience for others.response / report this review -

Very interesting and complex flavors with a great location with outdoor seating available. The service was relatively average and I would say the food is slightly overpriced, but overall an excellent restaurant.
