Really good BBQ! Sat out on heated patio and watched the pit be tended and enjoyed the aromas of hickory wood smoke and the meat cooking. Heavenly! The chicken was perfect and the brisket was sliced, but didn't need a knife to cut, and had the most perfectly pink smoke ring. Attentive wait staff too. Only downside is the lack of parking. Luckily we used Lyft.

The atmosphere at Midwood Smokehouse is cozy and friendly with large screens playing sports by the bear area without being a distraction. Upon arriving a friendly hostess greeted us, providing us with two seating choices. The seating table was comfortable and provided a good view of the entire floor. The server was incredibly efficient and friendly, with my ice tea never running dry. The beef brisket (lean option) i ordered was succulent, flavourful and it literally melted in my mouth. The two sides (Sweet Potato Fries and Smoked Veggies) were slightly oily, fresh and of a good portion size. The portion sizes are of the appetizers and mains are big, so make sure you are extra hungry if you order the large option.

Been great since it opened several years ago in PM. Always reliable flavor and taste. Good pulled pork (NC style). Brisket is very good. Mixed burgers are good as well. Nice beer selection and good service.

Everything I had was excellent! Smoked wings we had as an appetizer were nice big meaty wings with an amazing seasoning or rub of some sort that made the super tender meat perfect. I had the sampler combo with ribs, brisket, and chopped pork. All of it was great, but the ribs were by far my favorite! I always want ribs and almost always am disappointed (in Ohio at least). Usually even when cooked well ribs are bland and flavorless relying completely on sauce for flavor. Not these ribs! Incredibly tender nice meaty ribs smoked and seasoned to perfection with out needing to be drowned in sauce. The sauce that were provided were great and I really liked mixing the different options as I ate. For sides I tried the Mac and cheese and the collard greens. Both were great and the vinegar pepper sauce for the greens was a great touch. For my first restaurant in NC, on my first visit to NC I was not disappointed.

Wow. The food was amazing, but the service was out of this world! Our waiter DREW was genuine and respectful. He was passionate and he actually cared about his customers! Hard to find people like him! Thank you for making our first time in Charlotte so memorable!

The food here was very good and the young lady Gabby who was our server was sweet and attentive. I would have given them 5 stars but this was our 2nd attempt at eating there. The first time we tried to go was a busy Friday evening and our party of 6 got passed over twice. We spoke to a manager and were basically told it was our fault. She did however, give us gift cards which is what we used for the above referenced visit. Overall, yummy food and good service.

Really great food. Good brisket and it was very tasty. Had it with fat and lean together. Nowhere near as good as the brisket from City bbq actually but still really good. Nice location, easy to find parking. Friendly server.

Went by recommendation of a coworker and enjoyed the service and food. Good options on sauces but I like dry barbecue so the meats were seasoned well enough where I didn’t need much. Great bar selection. Had the sample platter. I’ve had better brisket but would revisit

We stopped on our way to Charlotte to catch our plane back to California. This place was recommended to us by a family friend. I had the pork ribs and they were amazing. The meat fell off the bones and the sauce was so good. They serve the BBQ sauce warm which was great. My husband had the burnt ends and said they were amazing. He also did a flight of Four Roses Bourbon which was very good. He had an IPA and I had a Cider. Everything was so good and the staff was so friendly. If we are ever in Charlotte again we will definitely be back here.

The best BBQ I've ever had. The pulled chicken was a little salty but nothing unbearable or bad. The pork was delicious. We also ordered baked beans, mac and cheese, and fries for our sides and those were all amazing. I'm from SC and the bbq down here doesn't even come close to this place. Highly recommend to all. You have to stop here and eat! The service is pretty awesome too. We went during a non busy time so we probably spent an hour tops here. The parking lot isn't very big so I imagine parking might be a pain during busy hours but it's totally worth it! They also have a lot of local brews on tap

The food was very good! The service was wonderful and everyone was very friendly! But there was a roach on the table of the people sitting next to us. Despite that I would still go back.

DELICIOUS! I had the brisket and it was awesome (the serve it lean, fatty, or in between, I got in between). Sauces were on the table and they were good as well. We had bacon wrapped jalapeños for an appetizer and they were great. Also had the pork and the hot mess sandwich and those got good reviews too. Sides were also really good. Service was okay, our server seemed to be on another planet the night we went.

5 stars until tonight. Can't sit outside at 9pm. (when I left a couple had gotten to sit outside. Good for them). Wrong dressing. Maybe you guys should close at 9pm instead of muckin' about from 9-10pm.

I'm only coming in at lunch when Melissa is there from now on. Cool.
