This was my first time here & I enjoyed the atmosphere. The facility was spacious & clean & although I didn't have any concessions, it looked as if there was an assortment of food & beverages to choose from.
Pretty awesome spot until they raised prices and replaced a bunch of their staff. The new staff, in our experience, are stand off-ish. My friends and I will be taking our business elsewhere. We miss the Park Lanes from a year ago.
Bowling lanes are decent. They have deals going on very frequently, parking is OK, coming out of the parking lot is a little difficult and when it comes to food, Worst food u can ever taste. Calling the pizza served there a pizza is a crime.
I have been to a good amount of bowling alleys. This, by far, has been one of the worst experiences in my bowling career. Many people were in our lane while we were bowling. Another family was very inconsiderate; there was an 11 year old boy that his own mother could not control. Bottom line, the staff does not care about their customers. Our waitress was pretty good, until her party of 15 came, then she dissappeared on us The games are timed and you pay 25 an hour, but when there are 11 year old boys, and other parties going on interfering with your game, you are basically paying the hour worth of playing to only get maybe 30 minutes of good, solid bowling. Find a different place to enjoy a nice game of bowling if you want your money's worth.
We had a birthday for our 11 year old daughter here. It was really easy to book it and the staff that handles parties was very professional and helpful. The day of the party was great. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. All the guests had a really fun time. I'd recommend it for sure.
The best bowling alley I've been to in awhile they can get a little packed on the weekends but there worth the wait
Cool place but parking can be tough. Also, it's a little dirty but still a blast. Pitchers of draft beer tol
Walking in? Good luck. This place never has open lanes, or so they say. They could do a better job managing their open lanes. 80 percent were not being used and they still wouldn't give me a lane. It is more like a private club than a pubic venue.
Great date spot. Good drinks, good food, good music and atmosphere. The bowling is fun and there are a few other games scattered about as well as an outside deck. Gets crowded at certain times but you can get placed on a wait list and they'll text you when your lane opens up, which is especially convenient if you either live nearby or enjoy visiting one of the other nearby establishments.
HORRIBLE!! I went there this past weekend, and there were huge, fat COCKROACHES everywhere! I Literally saw at least 10 in the half hour I was there. So disgusting. Not only that, but the bartenders and manager were rude and disrespectful. I will NEVER go there again. You couldn't pay me enough to endure horrible service and look at cockroaches walking around while eating.
Don't count on Sundays to be open til 12am as their automated phone system and their website say. We got there at 10:45am last Sunday and we're told they were closing. We were smart today and called ahead at 10:15am and told they are already closed. 2 hours early? I understand if you're slow and it makes sense to close early, but if it's this consistent, update your hours.
Recently Park Lanes changed their pricing list to By The Hour instead of By The Game. This new pricing format forced us to rush a family game with our 3 year old, despite the fact that the alley was not at peak time, so 50% of the lanes were open, and there was no wait line. Balls got stuck in the ball-return system often, so we lost time waiting for bowling balls to be returned to us so play could continue. despite the fact that we alerted front desk to the issue. Our paid time ran out before we could complete our 2nd game some of our players (there were 3 of us total) didn't even get to bowl an even number of times with the other players, leaving us feeling rushed and having no way to compare scores, even with a partially completed game. It was disappointing for a lazy summer afternoon.
We've been coming to PL for several years to enjoy games from time to time, and sad to say, we won't be returning due to this new pricing format. We're considerate bowlers, we don't linger long. but when paying $40/hr to bowl with a toddler ($25 for the non-peak hour and $5/shoe rental per person including child shoe rentals), we don't want to feel like we have to speed bowl, or rush our children's play time just to squeeze as much into a timed game as possible. We do not plan to return.
This is a fun retro looking bowling alley. Very large inside. Went here for a "bowl for kids sake" fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Charlotte. What a great turnout! Everyone seemed to have a blast. We will be back for normal bowling at some point.
I work with individuals with special needs and we frequent Park Lanes and we always enjoy ourselves to the fullest. The staff is outstanding. This is our favorite hang out spot. The treat us with the utmost respect and it is reciprocated!! Thank you the great folks at Park Lanes!!!!
