Friendly staff that take great care of my pets. Easy to make appointments with & grooming price is comparable with other groomers.

Wouldn't go anywhere else!!!! I drive 40 minutes to get my dog groomed at hair of the dog because they are so good with him, they always do his haircut exactly as I ask, he's actually excited when we walk in the door(always hesitant or anxious at other places), the prices are great, the staff is always so pleasant to deal with, and he always smells great when we pick him up(they use some organic oatmeal shampoo that I think they sell). They have a variety of natural products and I like that it's an independent and local business.
I've had years of experience going to other places and not being totally happy with either the staff of their work. At hair of the dog my expectations are always exceeded and that's why I travel a distance to go there.response / report this review -

Caring, attentive, and laid back. I took my fluff ball there for a shave at the beginning of summer about a year ago and we've gone back three or four times since. We warned them she was skiddish around new people and they took care of her! They have a small office with a door that they said they would use if any dog freaks out and each time I pick up my pup she is happily running around with the other dogs in the open play area. No nicks, cuts, or weird trims. She is always good to go. They take about 2 - 3 hours if they are busy. They have seats for you, but it is suggested you don't stay since they might be finishing up another client when you drop yours off. So far they seem to give consistent service.

I was reffered & talked to the owner & told her how I wanted my dog cut. My daughter picked her up and noticed she cut 3 inches off the top that I had been growing since feb to give her a braid. I told her not to touch the top. So I called her and she tells me she just trimmed it, I told her it was cut. She did apologize and said to bring in a pic. So I brought in the picture to show her the before and after picture, she was very nonchalant. I told her I was a Hair stylist and that was not a trim and her reply was im also a hair stylist. So in that case she should know the difference between trim and cut!! Dissatisfied customer!!! Won't give her my money again 😡😡

I have been taking my Sheep dog Ralph to Rhi for about 4 years now, she handles Ralph so good that Ralph likes when we go there, he use to hate my old groomer.Everybody is so friendly there and a very clean place.THANKS AGAIN

Awesome grooming shop! They take care of all 3 of our dogs with the greatest care, even our arthritic American Bulldog. I can even pick up some homemade soaps for my wife from here! Love this place!

They treat my skittish girl with extra care. She gets the calming blueberry facial every time. Easy to schedule. Great every time. Parking lot has been a pot hole mess for a long time waiting for that to be fixed. Not their fault.

So happy I found such a great place so close to home. Cageless environment and very accommodating, always easy and fast to get in. It is by far the cheapest place I have found to get my dog's nails trimmed can tell the people who work there are truly animal people who love animals and love their job not something you find at every dog groomers. Would highly recommend them. Won't take my dog's any place else.
