This HEB Central Market is an awesome store! It's sort of like a regular HEB, but with so much more variety. And if you like cheese this place has you covered, they have a huge section with so many different varieties of cheese. And if you're all about health, well look no further, this Central Market has an amazing section of healthy items to choose from. They have protein powders, all sorts of healthy seeds, nuts, and protein bars. Another great reason to shop here is their huge selection of organic items. They also have a nice selection of non-dairy items, from almond milk, yogurt made with coconut milk, to non-dairy ice cream. Oh, and if you get hungry while shopping, no problem, they also have a place to grab something to eat, and a little sit down section. So for me this is the best HEB store I've ever visited, and I've been to a lot.Trust me when I say, you won't be disappointed.
San Antonio's Central Market is a fantastic and wonderful place. I come here when I'm bored or sad. Seriously though, H.E.B. is such a great grocery chain, and the ones here in San Antonio are the best of the best, but if I need anything I can't find at my usual H.E.B. I know I can get it at Central Market. The freshest produce, seafood, meats, cheeses, baked goods - it's all good. Staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. I'd live at Central Market if they'd let me.
Love this place. It has a great selection of produce, seafood, meats, cheeses, etc. Some of the items are more expensive, but they are usually better quality as well. The store can get busy during peak times, but I've never had a long line to check out. Great place to grab a beer and walk around to get groceries or prepared food.
This H-E-B is pretty great. Each H-E-B in San Antonio seems to be different. This one carries unique set up items which includes white a lot more for some fresh organic produce and great bakery area. Tons of different types of cheeses. They have an area where they serve food until 9 PM. They cook it for you fresh from burgers, sandwiches to other stuff. They have nice seating outside under some insight. There’s a café. This place is really big and contains a lot of different stuff. Very sensual and neat place. Some of their things are a little bit more higher price because they are located just inside of the Alamo Heights which I would consider that they are catering to a more wealthy community. But overall it’s a fantastic place that you could find many things for everyone.
There are always awesome samples! Fantastic produce, butcher, beer, and wine. The cookies are stand out. The best part, by far, is the bill food section. It is wonderful to buy only what you need so spices stay fresh, and I don't have to have a cluttered kitchen.
Amazing! The best grocery store I have ever seen. Huge produce selection. Large variety of breads and other baked goods with testers. Thought Montana had the best steaks but you win Texas.⭐
Great place to go for a great selection of breads, cheeses, desserts, and so much more. We've stopped by to eat lunch or just to pick up a few sweets. Love it!
Great variety and unique items take the cake here! I would give this business a 5 star rating but for the prices. Now I am aware that this is a specialty store for this Texas company (HEB) but they need to examine how they price in regards to items one can find at a regular HEB location. Considering the buying power this company has they can afford to streamline pricing and keep pricing between carryover items identical. There are enough 'specialty' items here to maintain profits when looking at pricing. The fact that one is going to pay anywhere from 50cents to $1.50 more for the exact same item between locations is insulting and makes the customer feel their obligation falls in convenience instead of quality.
Cleanliness and customer service is awesome here! (most HEB's follow suit, we're Texan, that's how we roll).
Great variety of fresh fruit, produce, a fantastic meat department, a cafe where you can buy coffee drinks, snacks and delicious flavored gelato. You can sit inside or outside and eat or just enjoy. You can enjoy a fresh hot sandwich prepared to your liking, as well as a hot Chinese bowl prepared right before your eyes for you choose your ingredients. The store has also fresh flowers, a bakery, a cheese department, fresh pastries as well already prepared meals that are ready to go. You will enjoy coming here! Excellent service, and fast checkers that will help move the lines and avoid traffic jams in the store.
Love this store, they always have fresh fruit and vegetables, great range of meats and cheeses. Their bag dinners for two are fresh tasty and perfect portion. They are excellent idea for hard working people that wants to eat healthy after a long day of work. More affordable than stopping at a fast food restaurant.
Every time I have guest from other places I take them to Central Market. The reaction is always the same. You are so lucky. I wish I had a store like this close to me. I just wish I can afford it more often
Best supermarket in San Antonio. Outstanding selection of produce, meats, and seafood. Great coffee. Decent wine and beer selection. Can't go wrong Except it's expensive.
THIS PLACE IS SERIOUSLY HEAVEN. Everything is set up so nicely. There is a huge selection of fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses and more. Good job, HEB. I could spend hours in this grocery store.
I live in Floresville, and I readily drive to this location for groceries. The selection is amazing, and I love the seafood and meat counters especially. I'm not knocking my local HEB, but Central Market has everything I could possibly need to prepare meals. The bulk items are a great bonus, as well.
Wegmans is my first lovebut Central Market sure does give them a run for their money. This store is amazing. Only negative is pricebut if you really cared how much you were spending, you wouldn't be shopping here to begin with. Probably the most rewarding place in San Antonio to blow a paycheck on phenomenal meat, veggies, cheese, beer, and wine.
From the clientele, it appeared to be an LGBT-friendly place. I shopped a little and then ate at the Cafe. I ordered the grass-fed burger with fries; it took about 8-10 minutes, which was good. The seating area in the Cafe was incredibly dirty. Although only three of the roughly 20 tables were in use, literally none of the tables had been wiped down and most had trash on them. The burger and the fries were pretty good and it was neat to be able to get a beer from the grocery side and have it in the Cafe. The chocolate cake from the bakery is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful.
