  Literally couldn't find the door to get it from where Google maps took me on foot, so we ended up going to the weed store around the back instead LOL. 3 stars for a spontaneous solution to our soberness

  Wonderful, knowledgeable staff that is very friendly, down to earth and helpful. Aspen Grog Shop consistently carries an extensive variety of great wines at all price points. Worth a visit if you're in Aspen!

  Of the three or four main liquor stores in town, this is definitely the choice based on staff knowledge, selection, and location. The prices are in line, and they have the largest variety in town, and a very helpful staff.
  
  For the past few years Aspen has been targeted by the Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division. Expect to be approached as soon as you enter and everyone will have to present ID.

  Very solid liquor store with a wide selection of beers, wines, and liquors. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly if you have any questions.

  Very suspicious staff constantly looking over our shoulders. And they demand to see everyone's ID even from those not buying anything. Ridiculous store policy. Also very expensive beer.

  Ignore the comment below, so out dated.
  Prices are not that bad at all! I was in Aspen during Xgames and I made dinner for all my friends, but had no idea which wine would go well w/ prime steaks The staff member was VERY knowledgeable & helpful choosing specific red wine, and my guests enjoyed the wine very much!
