A beautiful hotel with a great and attentive staff. The rooms are very nice and the location offers great views, especially at night. The only reasons for 4 and not 5 stars are the breakfast buffet ending at 11:00 and our reserved room, a Luxury Suite was downgraded to a lesser room without warning. The luxury suite is incredible and we were really looking forward to the room for our first date night, overnight in a year. The buffet should be a brunch on the weekend in a casino, where grown ups go to plate and often play late into the night and don't get up so early. An extended buffet would really be nice.

Had a great time at the hotel.. the view was amazing and the room was acceptable all be it a little small. There were several times I was woke up during the evening by loud guests in the hallway and one morning I was woke up by the cleaning staff knocking on the door even though I had a do not disturb sign on the door Really made no sense. But all and all the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, so it could have been a lot worse

The hotel is beautiful and our room was clean. I loved the smell of the lotion in the room. However, the bed was too firm for my liking so I didn't sleep well. We ordered breakfast on the menu you put out the night before and choose a delivery time in the morning. We thought the prices were quite low for room service but our food wasn't of a high quality so that's probably why it was priced so low. There's no pool or hot tub at this hotel - we like to sit in the hot tub after a, hopefully, long night at the casino. We probably won't stay here again unless we get complimentary rooms from the players club. For the price I would rather stay at another close by hotel and walk to the casino. The staff was great but we weren't impressed with the amenities or lack thereof.

It was a very nice upscale Hotel. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The only problem we had was the iron in our was piece of junk and we called the front desk to get a new one to finish ironing for the wedding we were attending. Never got the iron. Fortunately my sister in law was 2 doors down and borrowed hers. The ironing board was flimsy and a piece of junk also. I would have thought a classy place, would have nicer supplies.
Food was great at the wedding. The bar was great. The appetizers were also great. A great time was had by all.response / report this review -

Attended a conference at the hotel. The parking was free and convenient. The food was good for both breakfast and lunch (buffet). The conference and meeting rooms were well equipped with technology and furniture. The staff were nice and helpful. This was my first time at the hotel and it left a good impression.

Check in was easy and valet service was quick. Hotel looks well maintained. My only complaint is one pillow per person is not enough beds were comfy but woke up with neck aches from only having one pillow

It pains me a little to issue such a low scoring review - especially after I’ve had a couple enjoyable stays at Greektown - but my last stay was (without a doubt) my worst experience at a hotel. In fact, I question whether or not they have any real policies in place to effectively deal with disorderly conduct and to protect their guests.
My fiance and I stayed here on a November, Friday night, excited to get away for a short trip. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner, everything was going well, and upon returning to our room about 11pm, we discovered there was an especially rowdy group of women staying in the room directly across from ours. Now, don’t get me wrong - I expect a little noise and partying in a casino hotel, especially before the midnight hour. But this wasn’t just “noise” - it was endless, ear-drum bursting screaming and cackling - I wouldn’t be surprised if their bedroom window glass shattered into pieces before the night was over.
A little after midnight, we were ready to go to sleep, but the ridiculous wailing across from us not only continued - it grew more intense. It went on and on and on, until about 1:30, we realized we were never going to get any sleep unless we involved hotel security. So, we called the front desk, waited about 10 minutes, and carefully listened as we heard a knock on the opposite door. A woman came to the door, shouting, and started insulting the security guy! He simply told them to keep the noise down, ending with “I’m just doing my job!” and disappeared.
I wish I could say the screaming match ended after 2am, but no no such luck. They may have given their lungs a break for about 5 minutes, and then sure enough, let the screams fly soon after. In fact, not too long after security’s appearance, we heard an exceptionally loud *THUD* from the screaming room. I don’t know if they dropped a television set, ran head-first into a wall or door, or what.. But a heavy object was certainly involved. We called down and reported the noise again. Security never returned. Finally, around 4-4:30 am, the screamers must have exhausted themselves - or lost their voices - because the racket from Hades trailed off, and we were finally able to get to sleep.
The next morning, we explained our terrible night to a very nice lady at check-out. She was sympathetic and said we could contact hotel management, and would especially want to do so if we were ever planning on staying again. I did, and although management was responsive, they were apathetic and did nothing to attempt to right the wrong. I like the Greektown establishment - and that included their hotel up to this incident - but it’s pretty ridiculous that they’ll charge $300+ for a room some nights, and if you just happen to be placed next to other disorderly guests with absolutely no respect or concern for anyone else, you’re SOL. Sure, the rooms are nice, and the beds are comfy. But isn’t it a shame that when you’re done gambling at the casino, you have the gamble on your sleep at the hotel?response / report this review -

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. There is a parking deck attached, free parking. The room was new and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. There was no refrigerator for guest use. Instead there was a minibar fridge.
i recommend getting a room as high as you can. The views of Detroit and Canada are incredible.response / report this review -

The room was a good size and clean. I wish there were an exhaust fan in the bathroom and that the price for a room wasn't as expensive. It's a great location with all the restaurants and bars around but will only stay at the hotel on special occasions.

Poor soundproofing at this time, hopefully after the remodel I will be able to update this rating. Cleanliness of the room was concerning. Staff is extremely kind and helpful, excellent valet service.

Great hotel. The rooms were updated and trendy. Every part of that hotel was super clean. The service was impeccable to say the least. There are great restaurants within walking distance and the area is pretty lively. I had a great experience here.

Greektown is my favorite place to visit downtown. The location is perfect in the middle of downtown and is very safe. The staff are always very helpful. We love the people mover to get around and see the city. And for only 75 cents it's absolutely worth it

Nice room. Requested and received city view. It was beautiful with the night lights and the rain made everything extra sparkly. Had a very nice free brunch in the morning. The hotel was great but parking was difficult. Garage very busy and quite full.
