Love this place for our family get togethers! The rustic cabins are just the right thing for my kind of camping with a full kitchen and being able to feed the family without having to go out for every meal, but still feeling like you are away from home. Also, the kids are safe at the playground area and away from the water. We took over multiple cabins and were able to enjoy sitting around the fire pit up at the cabins, as well as the beach, and the kids can wake up and go outside and play together. It is so close to Lake Michigan dunes and also Michigan's Adventure. You get so much more than a hotel can offer. The owners and caretaker are onsite to make sure you have what you need. I definitely would recommend it!!

Infested with mice! Yes, cabin number#4 is infested with mice! Stayed there for one day and saw four mice! Will NEVER stay there again! If I could have given this place a negative 5 stars I would!

My family and I have rented many cabins and resorts over the years, and this by far was the worst. The place is extremely dirty, full of dust and spiders in every nook and cranny. There were spider webs and dust even inside the lamps. We were all allergic, and my son had asthma attacks from the extreme amounts of dust. It looked like the furniture hasn't been cleaned or replaced in decades. The fridge door was bubbling up with rust. The oven smelled like gas. The beds were so disgusting we were afraid to sleep on them. We didn't use their pillows because they smelled like mold.
Another surprising thing was that they don't provide bedding. However I was told about that in advance, so I brought bed sheets. But when we got there it turned out they don't provide anything at all, not even toilet paper, any kind of hand or dish soap or paper towels. Not even matches or salt. And when I spoke with the owner she said she had e-mailed me with all this information. I never got that e-mail and she didn't bother re-sending it.
The final straw was 2 nights before we were going to leave there was a storm, and all of the bedrooms got flooded with water. The entire floor covered in an inch of water. The response we received from the manager and the owner? "It is not our fault it is raining. This is an act of God." I don't think I need to go into any further details here, right? Because I thought it was their responsibility to take care of their property so it doesn't leak. And when it leaks hospitality places offer other means of spending the night. This place charges hotel prices! and don't offer anything but dirty, unkept cabins.

Stayed with family some years back. Enjoyable time, cabins have bathrooms and plumbing, kitchen, and beach access within a minute's walk.

Of course, I would think it's a five!! We work hard to have a friendly, fun environment with squeaky clean log cabins!! Plus that's the positive feedback we get on a regular basis!!
