First let me say the male night manager is very nice BUT

I witnessed the early a.m bus driver disrespect a Senior citizen VERY RUDE for no reason he drives bus number 6494 going to Columbus, Ohio [Eric Tibbs]. He also disrespected the kind Amish family. This makes me want to cross the street to AMTRAK.

Respecting people with disabilities is a must.
ALSO, A FEW DRIVERS AT NIGHT WILL PLACE THEIR BAGS IN THE VERY FRONT SEAT THAT IS DESIGNATED FOR THOSE OF DISABILITY. Making people with disabilities sit further in the back. I travel a Lot and seen poor service in the city I am from & love.. I have tried to attach pictures of the drivers bags in front in the disability seats but couldn't. If I could attach pics I would.

It's a Greyhound bus station. For that, it's ok. Relatively clean, bright. Lots of vending, some TVs.

As to be expected the bathroomss smell like week old urinethe employeesare lazy rude and have bad grammar. Just another reason not to support union employees and to not allow monopolies. The best thing is for the company to go under. As long as things like greyhoundexist there will alwaysbe a need for the Republican partu

    To whomsoever it may concern,

My confirmation number is 45036592. I was travelling on my way back to Pittsburgh after spending a week in Newark on 12th August 2017 scheduled to reach Pittsburgh on 13th August, with a stopover at Philadelphia at around 12:15 AM. Due to the heavy traffic at the Lincoln tunnel I reached the bus station at around 9:45 pm and to my surprise the office which issues destination tags was closed. Now this is simply unacceptable since the bus itself hadn't arrived and with the office closed every passenger was forced to stand outside and naturally I had to stand out too. Just to maintain an identity on my bag, I did not take off the tag from my last journey from when I reached Newark last week. When the bus reached Philadelphia, for reasons I dont know why the bags were taken off the bus although we were supposed to continue to ride on the same bus. And today morning when I reached Pittsburgh my bag did not reach the city along with me.
Now on reaching Pittsburgh. I have no idea where the bags are! The staff at the Pittsburgh Bus terminal was extremely rude in talking and were shouting at when asked for help. The customer service offices do not answer their phone. The Philadelphia office says they don't have the bag, and ask me to check with Newark and Newark does the same. It is just impossible to fathom the fact that a bag with a name and phone number on it is not at either of the stations. This is the worst service experience ever and I would not only never travel by Greyhound but make sure this matter is raised at the highest levels of the consumer forums.
I request someone to please look into this matter urgently as My bag contains all my clothes and documents needed for my college semester. Losing this bag would be unacceptable.

One star because NONE is not an option..Customer service is unpleasant and as welcome as a visit to the Dentist without anaesthetic, where you are treated at best as if they are doing you a favor & at worst an inconvenience & intrusion in their presence .The agents on the counter need to learn about "customer service" & remember the customer is King.Travelling on Greyhound is a last resort to me with passengers sprawling out & taking up 2 seats..inconsiderate and rude!,though I've have had to use this service out of necessity.Bus timetables have been on times 90 mins out and the buses are uncomfortable to ride on for anything more than an hour..Anything good? well the bus station is clean & in a good location..GreyhoundIMPROVE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICES & TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS BETTER AT TICKETING! ..Smiles and politeness cost nothing but are appreciated by paying customers who are often tired & weary ..A truly horrible experience over the years and an insult to those who say this is an American Icon.I've started using AMTRAK & found them more reliable & professional

So RUDE! I haven't even left the GREYHOUND bus station in Pittsburgh to begin my trip and I felt like posting a review. Whoever is working ticketing at 6am on 5/27 screamed at 4 other customers and I to move behind a line that we didn't see. Then the lady running gate 8 seemed to busy to answer my question "is this gate 8?" so I walked past her to the bus. She then proceeded to run me down and scream at me for walking past her without her answering. Probably a dozen people were there watching. Congratulations, you guys earned my first ever google review. You are the UNITED of bus stations.

Update. she is operator Tracy. My bus driver 👎

Can't even make a new post but here's another update. Tracy made an unscheduled stop 1.5 hours into hour trip at the somerset rest station. She states everyone be back on the bus at 8am. At 7:55am, myself and 2 other random customers were left behind as Tracy had taken off early.

From there it took 1.5 hrs on the phone to reach customer service supervisor after employees could not do anything to help. They couldn't even guarantee the next bus coming 4.5 hours later could let me on the bus but I'd have to ask. Don't ask for a refund because it takes 48 hours for them to tell you if you can receive anything. Well here's to hoping they let us all on the next bus, and that my luggage did get unloaded at my stop since it is now with Tracy.

By far the poorest customer service I've ever experienced (in person and on phone). I don't understand how companies like this can operate. Use megabus next time. Then you won't have a 4 hour trip turn into 9.

Didn't think I'd have to update this again but here it is. I'm still at a rest stop stranded. Their customer service told me to get a taxi to a greyhound station an hour and a half away where I started and buy a new ticket and then they would refund the old one. Overall this trip is going to cost $150 and 14 hours of my time

I'm sorry I keep giving this company money. The employees are an absolute nightmare and can't even answer simple questions without snapping at you. Ask a simple question about baggage and you're sure to be answered with "not my problem, the bus will leave without you". What a joke of an organization. I'll be sure to take my money elsewhere.

Greyhound has horrible customer service. In house it is good but there policies have become worse and worse. No wonder they are losing business. A ticket was ordered with the wrong time and within (literally) 2 minutes, I had called the number on the email. They directed me to another number. I mistakenly purchased the 6:15 bus instead of the 6:35 bus which arrived 2 hours earlier. After waiting on the phone for 11 minutes, they told me they could process a refund but I would have to call back in 14 days in order to ensure that the refund was processed. Furthermore, they couldn't give me a confirmation number for the refund. WTF? They said if I wanted a confirmation number for the refund, then I would have to call customer service (whom is who I thought I had called).

I particularly hate how when companies transfer call centers (likely to India in this case given the accent), they pretend to have American names. This time it was more like stripper names. Agent 7938 called herself "Honey" and the other agent, Agent 7293, wouldn't even give me their name. This was obviously a call center - agency 3452 (she tried to give this to me as an agent number, the supervisor, never the less).

It is really unfortunate. The call center is given no power to do anything so the customers get angry. They are probably incentivize to try to not do anything. They don't have the language ability to do anything either.

Then they transferred me to customer service, and while in the middle of processing my refund they hung up on me. Then I had to call back. The whole process took more than an hour of time.

Greyhound customer service number isn't on the email that they send to you. And it isn't 24 hours.

    Greyhound is the worse.

    Update:
I was trying to review greyhound as a whole not the local station. The local station is fine. They have a bunch of new buses which aren't that bad. The front desk is helpful depending on who is working that day. So for economic sake I will still use greyhound but the national customer service is horrible. I didn't even get my refund.

I had the most comfortable experience during my recent visit through Greyhound's Pittsburgh PA location. While feeling overwhelmed due to the hustle & bussle of the morning bus arrivals it was Carmen & Yoshi that made my experience pleasant. They helped me find my proper boarding gate & even made sure that I was in the proper waiting line. I did not expect those kind women to be so pleasant while being bombarded with inquisitive passengers with a multitude of questions, but they handled my situation with patience & sound professionalism. Thanks again, ladies!!!
