Let me tell you about Grand Beach Hotel from someone who has been staying here for 7 years. Let's start with the "Pros".

Pros: Location, Pools, Private Adult Pool Deck, Room square footage.

Now let me tell you about the cons as a regular guest and then also as someone who is hosting an event/room block here.

Cons: Maintenance, Lack of Customer Service or Empathy, Event Sales Staff, Housekeeping, ILLEGAL Credit Card charges

As mentioned up front my wife (recently married) and I have frequented Grand Beach since 2010. When we first started coming we absolutely loved it. It was clean, modern, rooms were beautiful, view spectacular, and overall just a great value. Since then, year after year we have seen it fall apart.

When choosing a room block for our November 2017 wedding we decided we were going to give is a shot because to be fair, the value seemed to be still worth a shot especially being considerate of our guests. REGRET!!!

I'm going to talk about the rooms first as most reading this won't host an event here.

Bugs, mold, old food. Three things you wouldn't want to see at a nice Miami beach hotel. Little bugs crawling throughout the room, mold in the shower, old food sitting for hours and hours in the hallways and near the ice machines with no one picking it up. How about the hallways all being dirty like they haven't been vacuumed in months. Base Moldings and furnishings in rooms with dust throughout.

Moving on to Elevators that are slow or broken most of the time you are there. We even had family members with 3 kids get stuck in an elevator. When they called for help, they were put on hold!!! The ended up having to literally pry the doors open to get out.

Customer service is something that lacks with most workers at this hotel. The few that are great at it are completely overshadowed by the majority who are really, really bad. I'm not expecting to get waited on hand and foot but this is just basic customer service skills that are non-existent by most.

Check their facebook page or Trip Advisor for the rest of my review due to character limits!

Good place at good price, the parking cost is $42 a day and the food is good. What I didn't enjoy was that the hot tub was closed to public by 5.30 pm!!! I hated it, same with the pool. They had a great view and respected my reservation king size bed with ocean view. I would definitely come back, the people at the front desk were respectful but the valet was rude

I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in the Grand Beach Hotel. I booked a reservation for Sunday October 8- Monday October 16. I reached out to a manager via email regarding their best rate guarantee/upgrade. Only then was I informed that they cancelled my reservation since I booked through a 3RD party website and due to hurricane Irma, they are only accommodating guests that booked before September. However, the end of their email stated that if I want to stat at their hotel for my dates reserved, I will need to pay double the price. I had my entire vacation planned out and booked, Now my hotel reservation is being cancelled a week before we were suppose to leave.

My sister and I loved the room, lovely balcony, pools, beach access, and the shrimp cocktail 🍹 Yummy πŸ˜‹. Staff was kind and very helpful, location wasn't very close to the popular spots, but taxis were readily available. The local bus and trolley service seemed to be working regularly also.
All in all we had a great time.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days and enjoyed every bit of our stay! The customer service was great, and the amenities were fantastic! Our room was large and had a great view, even though it wasn't a beachfront view. The heated pool was a little too warm, but that's just my opinion. The only downside was the fact that most places to eat, we had to take a Lyft to get to. All in all, I would definitely reconsider the Grand Beach when we come back to Miami Beach!

The location of the hotel is great and it is right on the beach. However, we had numerous issues with our room. First, the patio door did not open. The hotel staff fixed this issue for us. In addition, when we arrived, there were short black hairs in the sheets, which suggests they were not changed, or were not adequately cleaned. The most significant issue, though, was the fact that the toilet did not work for the duration of our one night stay. We called the front desk and they came to try and fix it, but it persisted. When we called again, no one came to fix it. Therefore, through the night we had to go down 11 flights to the lobby to use the restroom. When we asked to speak to the manager, there was no one on duty. They did compensate by removing the resort fee from our bill. However, I do not feel this adequately rectifies the situation. It is not as if it was a minor issue. We had no bathroom, which is a major part of the room. We were directed to email the hotel manager. It has now been ten days without any response from the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay there again.

Hotel was clean, beach location was great, but the room was falsely advertised. I booked and paid for the most expensive room in the hotel six months prior to the trip which offered "wide views of the Atlantic Ocean" and is even pictured facing the ocean, when it fact it faces the building next door and you need to stand on the side of the balcony to see the beach/ocean. Offer to move us to an ocean facing room went unfulfilled. Same feedback and more was given directly to hotel manager in an emailed survey. The management will try to respond with descriptions of other rooms in the hotel vs. addressing this falsely advertised room. I assure you I researched all of your rooms well in advance of the trip and they were ALL available at the time of booking. Stop describing it as "wide view of the Atlantic" when it faces the building next door.

The hotel rooms are clean 8.5/10

    fast check-in

I took the bay front view which was for me much better than ocean front in term of view. The beach is full of sea weed which ruin the view if you are trying to take photos.

for two night expect to pay $200 deposit + $144 (tax, resort fee, and parking) + room rate.

Please be aware of the deposit somehow and check your bank account. I book at least 20 hotels every year and I never face any problem with the
deposit except in this hotel I send them an email about it and they were not able to help me with question.
they took the more money from me so be alert and check your account to make sure you are not paying more than you are suppose to

One of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. Nice and spacious too. Beds are comfortable but a tad soft. Plenty of pillows. Had a great view of the ocean and surrounding area. Restaurant is pricey but good. Still not really sure if it was worth the money. Pool area is great, water was the perfect temperature and access to the beach was only a short walk.

My stay at the Grand Beach Hotel was magnificent. From the check in to the check out. Everything flowed so naturally. The rooms were very very clean and spacious. We stayed in the King Pool View room which had breath taking viewa of the Atlantic. This room has 2 bathrooms which was very convenient for us. 2 televisions a pull out sofa and a mini fridge. The staff was very attentive to all of our needs. We had the luxury of being able to walk directly out to the beach at our leisure. There is also 3 pools total on the property and 2 or 3 hot tubs as well. This hotel was everything I could ask for and more! I have vacationed in Miami several times over the past 4 or 5 years and this was my best experience. The Grand Beach Hotel will be my home away from home when I come to Miami.

The hotel is in an excellent location next to the beach and within a few miles of Ocean drive as well as Lincoln. I loved the views from the rooms we picked out! The only reason why I am not giving the hotel 5 stars is because I am 99% sure my shorts were stolen by housekeeping. When I made the front desk aware she seemed as if I was making it up. They followed up with the generic response that "we touched base with the housekeeping supervisor and nothing was thrown away by housekeeping." Those were my favorite shorts that I have had for well over 5 years.
