We had truly wonderful service and found an absolutely exquisite ring. We are a diverse couple and they treated us like family. It was the most pleasant and relaxed experience I have had in a jewelry store. This family-owned business is a true gem.

Goodman Jewelers is the best place we have ever been to.. We are so very impressed with the quality of diamonds, the workers, and our overall experience.. We picked out our ring in the morning and before their business day ended my ring was sized and on my finger.. We couldn’t be happier with the craftsmanship of my ring that next year my engagement ring will be designed by Goodman Jewelers on State Street in Madison, Wi.. Thank you Gretchen for our perfect experience to remember ☺️

What a GREAT experience! Fred and I walked in looking for wedding rings without a clue of where to begin. We were immediately put at ease with a welcoming and impressively knowledgable staff. They showed us a wide variety of metals and styles and helped us combine a pattern and profile for unique rings made just for us. Thanks Goodman's!

My family had been going here for years, but I recently went in for an engagement ring and a pair of earrings. I had an amazing experience and would definitely go back again!
I worked with Art for both the ring and earrings, on a couple of visits. He was very personable and professional, really helping narrow ideas down but without being pushy as to a style or size stone. I’d recommend asking for him if you go in.
As far as the experience in the store, the store is quiet even though it’s on State St. and I felt very welcome each visit. They have an extensive selection of styles on hand so we didn’t have to wait for things to be ordered, and even when it came to waiting for the jeweler to make the ring that went extremely quickly. They also worked around the fact that I was coming in from out of town. Great experience!response / report this review -

I moved from Madison 28 years ago. Before moving my wedding ring and other jewelry was purchased from Goodman's. My ring needed cleaning and other repair work. I live 3,000 miles away and trusted no one to do the work except Goodman's. On a recent trip to Madison I brought my ring and other jewelry to be cleaned and/or fixed. I met the new owner and Kristin of whom was courteous and professional. They did all repairs and kept me up to date on the progress. I will continue to buy jewelry from them and refer others to them. I have received my jewelry and I am very pleased with the outcome.

I down on State Street the other day, and decided to stop into Goodman's Jewelers.
I was looking to get an engagement ring and was honestly quite clueless!
The store was absolutely slam packed, but John (the owner) took the time to help me pick the perfect ring. I really appreciate you taking the time to help, and would highly recommend your store to anyone that wants to make sure they get their bride the perfect engagement ring!!!

The customer service is above-and-beyond - from beautifully repairing my Grandmother's ring in a fraction of the time because they knew I was nervous about leaving it to staying open late and helping me with an emergency free of charge. Customer for life right here. :)

Several months ago, I broke my gold chain and brought it in to Goodman's to be repaired. It was a good experience and they were lovely to work with. However, a few months later (after wearing the chain very little), it broke again in the same spot. I brought it back to Goodman to have it repaired again. Two weeks after picking it up, it has now broken a third time in the same spot and this time the pendant, which is very special to me and is irreplaceable, fell off and is lost. The chain was a sturdy one and there is no reason for this to have happened again. I couldn't be sadder about losing the pendant and there is no reason for it. Despite the good service, they did a poor job repairing the necklace, plain and simple. I will not be going back. What a shame.

Sent my three daughters here to look for a birthday ring. The person who helped them told them they could order a ring from a catalog w/o obligation to purchase (as dimensions for the ring were missing and obviously they would look different in person). They spent 20 minutes and found several designs only to have her then check with the store owner who aggressively denied the request. When my daughters asked about custom jewelry (specifically two rings welded together) the person helping them again agreed it could be "easily done" only to check with the store owner a second time- who again agressively denied the request and gave no other options. I do NOT recommend this jeweler. The people who work there do not understand store policy and the owner is a grump.
