We worked with Lucas for an unplanned lease that we had to finalize in the 2 days before a planned road trip. Lucas was excellent to work with and we never felt pressured. He got us exactly what we wanted and everything was done quickly. We have used and liked the service center for years . We will continue to buy and lease from Russ Darrow after this experience as well.
If I could give them a minus star I would. I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape From Russ Darrow of Madison. The vehicle had very low miles (17,590) so what could be wrong with it? After all it did have a clean Car Fax. There was some minor body work on the back hatch door that they agreed to have fixed at their body shop in and that is all they did. I went to pick up the car at the body shop when they had it done. First thing I notice was the back up camera isn't workingthe body shop said they can't help me with that. Take it back to the dealership where you bought it. I called the and I basically had to beg them to take a look at it. They said it wasn't their problem anymore. I drove the hour drive back to Madison and insisted that they fix it. So they did and I discovered the body shop didn't plug the camera back it when they finished working on the back hatch. Body shop gets a minus star too. They lied to me and didn't finish all that they were supposed to do.
That wasn't the end of it. I discovered there were parts missing on the
interior like brake the pedal pad , the cover for fuses on drivers side is gone, the assist handle on the passenger side is broke off! They did not and would not take care of any of this. I ended up taking the vehicle to a Ford Dealer to have a recall taken care of and to fix a front parking light that wasn't working. While looking into that they discovered the vehicle had definitely been in an accident. That opened up another can of worms..I had a heater hose that was leaking antifreeze. I also asked them to check into a weird chirping sound from when I ran the heater fan. Now over $800 in repair costs in parts and labor on a vehicle I purchased less than 2 months ago, I feel like I have been totally ripped off. They knew the condition of this vehicle and had to have know it was in an accident and did not disclose it to me. I made a last ditch attempt and pleaded with them to at least meet me half way and they refused to offer any help at all. I and my husband would never ever recommend Russ Darrow to anyone.
I was working with a different dealership and they spent two weeks trying to find me the vehicle I wanted. With no luck, we decided to drive to Madison. Jeremy and the Manager are super amazing! I left the dealership with EVERYTHING I was looking for plus some additional options I didn't think we're available to me in my budget. Fast, friendly and honest. I will definitely be making the drive to Madison for future purchases!
Buying a new car can be a nerve-wracking experience, but the great people at Russ Darrow Jeep made bringing home my new car so much easier on me! Robert, my salesperson, was knowledgeable and patient; he really listened, and he bent over backward to get me the car that had all the features I wanted, that was within my stated budget, and gave me more for my trade-in than I deserved. And when it came time to sign the papers, Efren answered all my questions about what each charge was, and worked hard to get me a great rate. I would definitely recommend this great team for anyone looking for their perfect ride!
Russ Darrow is an awesome dealership for service. I am passing through Madison and needed my Ram 3500 serviced. They did a great job and had me in and out quickly. They also took great care of my truck and returned it to me just as I handed it off to them, meaning clean and damage free. What more can you ask for. Oh, they are also great at customer service. Steve went the extra mile just being nice. You won't find a better place to have your vehicle serviced.
I stopped after work to browse the lot. My Jeep Liberty has been a great ride for the past 11 years but is showing her age. WellI fell in love with a Jeep Cherokee. The salesman was low pressure and very understanding of finances and needs. Financing was fast and easy. I drove my new Jeep home just hours after I first saw her. I am so happy!
We unfortunately had a very poor experience. We came from Minneapolis to purchase a truck with plow and salt spreader the dealership had been using to plow their lot. I personally spoke with Graham asking him to go around the truck, make sure everything works and was operation and there would be nothing to be concerned with. I was told its like a brand new truck and everything including the spreader and plow work great. We purchase the vehicle on a Monday. We told them on Friday, we were coming on Monday, we told them Monday morning what time we would be arriving. We waited for nearly 2 hours until we even saw the truck. It is important to note during this period there was 1 customer being helped in sales and 3 customers waiting for service. Employees seemed bored and disconnected. When we saw the vehicle The salt spreaders lid was demolished. The salt spreader did not work, the truck had 1,300 more miles then we were told. There were also some bolts missing from the plow. I was finally directed to speak with a manager Jeff who didn't seem to care about much of anything. Didn't get out of his chair didn't attempt a hand shake, didn't come out to look over the issues with me. I was told to send a bill to him for any repairs to the salt spreader. While I was waiting for the truck, I started walking around to see if I could find what was really going on, As I was told the truck was just getting some tire shine put on 45 minutes prior. I observed part of the delay was some technicians attempting to put the plow on. When I arrived back in Minneapolis to take the plow off both attachment points were broken and one safety locking pin was held on by a zip tie. The technician personally handed me the key and said your good to go with no mention of the issues. When issues were brought up I felt like I was the one that was in the wrong. Would not recommend doing business with, will also NOT be purchasing any vehicles from this organization again.
Easy to communicate with. Started over the phone, quickly responded to my queries. Just drove to dealership to sign the paperwork. Kept their word on price and availability. No low-balling at all. Serious people with integrity and knowing how to do their job right. Very pleased and impressed.
Lonnie at Russ Darrow knew a lot about the vehicles I was interested in test driving. He was easily able to tell me what was different between the two vehicles I was test driving. He responded quickly when I emailed him additional questions later.
Everyone else that I worked with at Russ Darrow through the entire buying experience was also helpful and knowledgeable.
I'm happy with my purchase!
I just bought a red Jeep Wrangler from Russ Darrow and I am impressed by my experience. Everyone was professional, honest, and commited to getting me into this Jeep! Everyone seemed to work together as a team with the customers best interest in mind. I also got a straight forward fair market value no-hassle offer on my trade in. I drove from four hours away to purchase my jeep from Russ Darrow in Madison and I would have driven more than twice that distance for the quality of service and respect I received. THANK YOU RUSS DARROW OF MADISON I LOVE MY JEEP! Thank you for your hard work!
Really? You charge $2.00 to each person so that YOU can provide popcorn and drinks and coffee and whatnot? That's fine.NOT really, especially since I didn't take any popcorn or your not-complimentary drinks. Take it, once I get my 6th free oil change from you guys, I won't bother coming back to you guys for another car. Too much shade for me to wanna deal with.
Well, they were pretty busy, but I found Michael to be really helpful and patient. He first listened to what I wanted, but didn't waste my time. Then he patiently let me test drive 2 different Jeep Cherokees. When it came down to working out a deal, he really listened to me and actually helped me work out a good deal on a new Jeep. It was fun!
Dishonest sales tactics, have no trouble lying to get you in the door for a bait and switch.
I saw a car for sale online I was interested in and called to verify its availability. I was told the car was on the lot, available, for sale, and that I could setup an appointment to test drive later in the day. I should at this point mention I had just been burned by a different dealership who had told me a vehicle was available only to find out after I came in and test drove that it was in fact already sold. I was therefore very explicit in confirming this car was actually available. I explained my previous experience and that I was not interested in a different car than the one I was calling about and that I would be very unhappy to come out there only to find out the car I was coming to see was unavailable. I also asked the person I spoke with to please double check to be 100% sure it was available. He said it was, but that he would check with the sales manager and call me back. He called back a few minutes later, I missed his call, but am now quoting from his voicemail, "Just wanted to give you a call back and let you know that I did verify and that vehicle is currently still available"
I arrived for my appointment (the bait) and it was revealed within a few minutes the car I had come to see was NOT for sale. The salesperson told me it was part of their rental fleet and he couldn't sell it to me. He was of course very eager to learn what sort of car I WAS looking for and (along with two other salespeople) present other options that were for sale (the switch). I would like to say this is the point at which with biting rhetoric and quick wit I lambasted all those involved for their lack of character and dishonesty. However, stunned with disbelief and possessing none of the personality traits that would have made this possible, I instead rambled awkwardly and incoherently for a minute before walking out.
Thanks for the mail saying "your vehicle has been identified" and "for you to get an initial indication of your vehicle" If my vehicle was identified why do I need me to enter my vehicle information on the site link you customized for me? Shouldn't you have at least some information on my vehicle since you identified it? You have all my other info filled in but the car, that was previously identified and "The reason you received this letter" This is deceptive and dishonest. I don't make a habit of doing business with companies that search for customers via lying to them.
We had a great experience purchasing our car at Russ Darrow East thanks to our sales associate Michael Glowacki. He was knowledgeable, very helpful and low pressure, which we really appreciated. We would highly recommend him to any of our friends and family.
