I scheduled an oil change for an afternoon. After waiting there I was informed that the oil change would take an hour. The waiting area was freezing. They included an inspection that I did not request and that they did not confirm. In my opinion there are better garages in Madison and I would recommend them over this one.
I had a wonderful experience with WT Monona Tire. I suddenly had a flat tire on a Sunday morning, and they were able to get me in the same day. The waiting area was clean and cozy, and I was served complimentary coffee and chocolates. The service was incredibly fast, and they took the time to explain and show me what the issue was, and how they fixed it. I've only gone to Walmart for tire services in Madison before this, but I would definitely recommend this place and I will be returning. Great customer service! Thanks Stephan(?)
I keep coming back to have my car serviced here. The staff is friendly, prompt service on my car. Had a big service done today and was surprised when I picked up my Clean car, they took the time to clean it for me. :) Thanks!
I recently used West Town Monona Tire for a tire repair. I was met with professional same-day service, a reasonable quote and fast work. No pushing or hassle, just great service. I will continue to use their services.
I've been getting general maintenance done here from years, and couldn't be more pleased. The employees are courteous and efficient, and my vehicle is always treated well.
Stopped here on the way home from Milwaukee after road damage (split sidewalls) to two tires. They were open on a Sunday, and were able to get my car in right away. The staff was courteous and helpful, and there was a small lounge for customers to wait. The tires are still doing great after nearly 2 years! Thanks!
Quick service on a Saturday on short notice. Tires look great
The service and experience are great, but it's a fair bit more expensive than other places. I took a Honda Fit here for an engine problem - it needed a new ignition coil and four new spark plugs. They charged $479. I called around to other (highly reviewed) places afterwards - two quoted me $350 and one $300.
I also had Monona Tire replace the battery at the same time, and the price there was closer to others. They charged $200, while one other quoted me $230 and two quoted $180. So it depends somewhat on the service, but overall I'm guessing they tend to be higher than other places.
That said, the service was excellent. They got me in quickly (next day) fixed it in a morning, and texted me pictures of the problem and what they planned to do before calling, so I had some time to think about it.
We've been customers of WTMT for almost 20 yrs. Taken our cars to other places over the years but no one compares to WTMT! Prices may be higher than others but their customer service is amazing and is worth paying a few extra $$$. Ted, Gary, Brandon and Stephen take excellent care of us and our vehicles. I trust their judgement and they never try to sell me something I do not need. They are upfront on costs and will prioritize items that need to be fixed now and what can wait. I highly recommend the guys at West Towne Monona Tire. Superior customer service and top notch mechanics!
Stay Away. Very crooked and dishonest people. They quoted me an exorbitant amount and told me they have one of the best rate in Madison. Yeah Right !!!
I waited for the second experience to write a review, because I figured it would only be fair. As you can tell by my five star rating, both times went very well.
The first time, I worked with Stephan. He helped me pick out tires tires without (1) trying to sell me the most expensive tires, and (2) being realistic about my tire needs. Not only that, but he pulled out the iPad and showed me visually what was happening to my car with my current tires, and what could happen if I waited to get them fixed. There was the right amount of concern from him without scaring me needlessly or trying to sucker me into a sales. The work was done quickly.
The second time, I worked with Ted. I brought in my car, and he asked right away about what was wrong with the car. He also asked if I needed my car later in the day so as to ensure he could get the work done in time. Later in the day, he called to tell me that my brake pads were worn down in the front, and close to being worn down in the back. He was upfront about the price, and was not at all impatient/patronizing when I asked about the price in relation to how much the front pads versus the bad pads would cost. Ted said if I wanted, I could wait on the back brakes, and always come back when the car starts to squeal again. I got both of them done, and it was done again in a timely manner. When I went to pick the car up, I saw Stephan again, and once more, he explained in a very simple manner how brakes are worn down depending on the driver.
I've been to just about every place to get work done on my car. This is the first place that hasn't treated me like an idiot for having no car knowledge. They listened to me despite probably knowing right away what was wrong. And on top of that, they also taught me. They were very professional and friendly. I will definitely be back with any future car issues.
