Yet another superb dinner last night at Good Luck, we were a table of 7 friends. We had 10 total dishes. Every dish superb and easily shareable. Hands down Good Luck remains the best restaurant in Rochester, for atmosphere, service, bar and food.

You should be prepared that it is the place with food for share.
My favorite restaurant in the city so far. Their pork and burgers and pasta just amazing. Cocktails are so interesting and cool. But the best is the chocolate desert, just yum.

Pricey but worth it for an exceptional experience.
The food is fantastic - mostly home-made and always interesting combinations. If it's still available (menu tends to rotate) try the home-made bologna. I'm not a bologna person and it was still amazing. The atmosphere is "speak-easy"-esque and the style of food is Tapas/sharing, although the portions are a bit larger than some more traditional tapas places.

The bartenders are skilled and they have some very good drinks available - didn't seem too overly complicated as you often see in trendy places. Was particularly impressed by actually receiving well-crafted/aromatic garnish. They perform some flaming drinks as well which is fun.

Definitely plan on reservations. Service at the hostess is not always the best - have had some slightly unpleasant tone when placing reservations or while waiting to be seated, but the food service was great - the waiters/waitresses are knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Bonus is that it's located right by the Village Gate so there are variety of other bars to explore if you're in the mood to extend the night after dinner.

While the drinks are excellent , the food is lovely , the over all noise level is incredible, really detracts from the above to the point I can barely tolerate it at times.
Otherwise it would definitely get 5 stars in my book. It is a pity it is so damn loud .

Everyone in Rochester knows how delicious this place is - from their burger to their lentils, the food is unique and fresh. But, what people may not have experience before is their chefs table tasting dinner! My boyfriend and I experienced this recently and all i have to say is WOW!

The tasting menus change seasonally to reflect what is in season and the menu highlights five items that are in each dish. The dinner is intimate and special - giving you a one-of-a-kind experience that is different from the dining area. At 65 pp, it is a very reasonably price tasting dinner that highlights local ingredients prepared by the chef. From the pasta and breads, everything is made in house which makes it that much more fresh! I would highly recommend this for a group of friends or date night!

My wife and I had our wedding reception in the private dining room here and it was spectacular! It wasn't our first time at the restaurant, we chose Good Luck for the reception because every time we've been the food has blown our minds, and everyone we bring here raves about it for months after. The event coordinator, Meghann, and our private waiter, Sam, were both amazing and made it a fantastic night for everyone. In fact, every time we've come here the service has been stellar. The food is easily the best in Rochester and they make excellent cocktails!

My friends and family had a great time. Our server Kevin was great. Explained everything and answered all our questions. I personally had the arctic char dish and my only critique is that the sweet corn puree should have been made from roasted sweet corn. But I'm a chef and overly critical sometimes. It was great and I ate every bite

Family atmosphere with generous portions and attentive staff. A little pricey but definitely worth the extra money. Their cheese and meat tray was delicious. French pressed coffee was remarkable. The waiter even brought us saucers, cups, utensils and the actual carafe for us to serve ourselves when ready. Definitely recommend the friend chicken as well. Coming back for sure!

My favorite restaurant in Rochester. Cocktails are amazing. No corkage fee on Thursdays. It's farm to table with dishes to share. Go! If you're on a budget just get the burger and share it with someone. It'll make you melt in your chair.

The best restaurant in Rochester! Food, drinks, staff and atmosphere are all excellent. I always have a great experience here. Whether you love bourbon & burgers or cocktails & charcuterie/cheese boards, you really can't go wrong here.

Came here with a group of friends after a department party for drinks. Fun atmosphere with great assortment of drinks. Bartenders carefully crafted each beverage with meticulous skill. While I only tried the mocktails, which were DELICIOUS, everyone was raving about their other beverages, too. Hoping to be back here for dinner and dessert! Food looked great! Standing around the bar got crowded and exhausting, would've been nice to have had more space to kick back and hang out without having to stand. Loved the loft-hipster vibe of the place though!

This place is fantastic, never disappoints. My wife and I have two young children and ANYTIME we can get out for a date, this is our first choice. Every food item I've ever had there (10-15 times) has been fantastic. Even the burger is amazing.

This was a great experience. The menu options are excellent. The atmosphere was charming and the service of the staff, knowledge of the menu and capability of answering our questions was all top notch! We will be looking forward to visiting again when we're in the Rochester area. I would stronly recommend reservations, as this restaurant fills up fast.
