Funky-cool place with very good selection of very good beers. Bills itself as, "The second biggest brewery in Golden, CO!" And it likely is since Mountain Toad Brewing produces less. Parking is spotty, bring your own food, service is reasonably good and the vibe is generally easy-going. My nickname for them is "The Golden Bullet"! Try the "chicken in a bag" beeractually really good!

Great atmosphere and the beers are fantastic. Such an inspired collection of brewing. Try the IPA and for fun travel back in time and drink a glass of Thomas Jefferson inspired chicken in a bag Ale.

The OG brewery of Golden (minus Coors, I guess). Home to the old timers and thirsty college crowd. It looks like the list of seasonal beers has grown and things may have settled down a bit from a few years ago, likely for the better. I would recommend it, particularly on a sunny afternoon in the beer garden. Sure there might not be a food truck, but you can still get pretzels and mustard. And the beer, well it tastes pretty darn good.

Awesome little spot to grab some really stellar craft beers. Dogs allowed out on the patio and of you bring yours, odds are he will find a friend. Right next to the patio you can see the guys brewing a batch and it just adds to the feel. Love this place

Stay away. You won't like this place. OK, there's some good beer. And a happy hour. But you might have to talk to interesting people. And you'll probably have to sit outside in the crystal clear air of Golden Colorado. Like I said, stay away. You won't like this place.

My boyfriend and I live nearby, so we decided to walk over on a beautiful sunny afternoon to enjoy some beer and wine. I had an aged white wine, which was very good! The pour was short but the wine was good, so two stars for that.
My complaint is in regards to the cider. Let me preface this by saying, I’ve worked in brewing for years and I feel like I know a thing or two about a thing or two. Anyway, this cider stank of sulfur in a way that I’ve never encountered in my life. As a chemist, I’m almost immune to overpowering smells, but my goodness, drinking this cider was impossible. It smelled of raw sewage, to the point that we couldn’t even finish our other beers. I completely lost my appetite after smelling it.
That wasn’t even the worst part. The worst part was that upon returning the cider, I was lectured about the style. Fine, I may not be that well informed about old English cider styles, but give me a break. Even if that is the desired style (I don’t know why it would be - seriously it was disgusting), warn your customers up front that you’re aiming for a “tastes and smells like rancid eggs left in the sun” flavor profile. I don’t know about you, but that’s not something I want to drink, even if there’s technically “nothing wrong with it.” Pass.response / report this review -

This place has some wonderful beer they brew up. Loved hitting this place up with a buddy of mine when he was doing a bunch of beer tours to get C+ started in Wheatridge. Awesome place for a beer and to relax. I loved the pumpkin beers!

Was a fun place. We sat in the beer garden, and had a great time! The Brew Master was working the tap, and couldn't have been more fun and engaging. They had board games. Only complaint is that the seating is a bit crowded. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

Sure the beer is good and the patio is great but tonight the winner was the specialty soda that my son had. The orange cream soda was phenomenal! Always something surprising and good here!

The beer was pretty good and well priced. Small tap room, but the outdoor space is huge! Good place for big groups if the weather is nice.

What a great brewery. The beers are great and getting better all the time. I recently tried the barrel aged stout and it was great. The stand up double IPA is great. Glad to see they are doing more experimental beers.

As a Mines alum, I can say that I have dropped a ton of $ in this place. But in return I got some awesome memories and great beer. The beer is reasonably priced and it is world class. The people are friendly and it's a great place to bring your four-legged friend!

Awesome little brewery tucked away in a neighborhood in Golden. It's become a staple for my wife and me after our hikes in the front range. Dog friendly, outdoor-beer-garden style. There are few places I'd rather enjoy a beer after a hike. It does get a bit crowded in the summer, but as long as you're willing to make friends we've never not been able to find a seat.
