My husband and I stayed here in August 2017. We were charged $119 for a one night suite on the first floor. When entering the room, we we're not impressed. It looked old and had a dark blue patterned carpet that was HORRID looking!! It had missing pieces EVERYWHERE and the holes were pathetically filled in with the same pattered carpet but the directions of the pattern went every which way, and you could still see the flooring underneath the carpet it was patched that badly, in addition to the carpet being filthy dirty.
The bathroom had a jetted whirlpool tub, nothing amazing but they hyped it up as though it was. I felt it was a way for them to be able to charge more money for the room. I would not trust that tub was clean and IF I had used it I would have used a Q-tip to check the cleanliness of those jets. The bathroom was huge and the way everything was put in seemed odd, as if it was never meant to be that way originally.
This suite(?) had a small refrigerator.
The bed was hard and had an old bedspread. The TV was one of the old tube TV's which had terrible reception. I've not seen one of those old TV's in YEARS in a hotel room. We we're HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with this room, and it just felt dirty. Apparently they are trying to update this hotel, but we got an OLD room not updated. The outside of this hotel had broken windows where people had broken into the first floor rooms. We felt VERY uncomfortable after we noticed this. We we're worried about our belongings after we saw that.
There is a VERY LOUD TRAIN behind this hotel. This was not conducive to sleeping.
The price for this dilapidated room was far to high! We we're paying for an updated room but we got this? Just awful! Supposedly this hotel was bought out by another hotel chain of whom I can't remember now.
It seemed like most people were located on the 2nd floor, and since we just got that room the same day, I guess that put us on the first floor.
I would never stay here again, especially knowing rooms were broken into from the outside on the first floor. Where are the security cameras? Thankfully we had a safe stay, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
The person at the front desk, a young man, had difficulty speaking English and was very much into his computer, yet he did try to be very nice and was.

Front desk help does not seem to bright. No sense of security, NO sense of urgency when dealing with check in, NO sense of understanding the process of checking someone in. Rooms are ok, more importantly they need more lighting outside.

I give it 1 star only because I had to choose. They are renovating, barely speak english, rooms are gross, they like dealing with the convicts better than hard working people. Sewage backs up, good luck getting deposit back, kids clean rooms, reservations mean nothing, construction all hours of the night. Indoor pool is about 104 degrees. So hot you dont want to swim.

We were put in the most horrible hotel room I have ever been in and my entire life. They have been remodeling this hotel for the last 2 years we have stayed there before and we were put on the floor where there was no renovating but it was still very loud during the day yesterday we were put on the floor that was being renovated and I experienced such a severe headache from the smell of paint chemicals whatever comes along with renovation the ice machine was out of service the elevator was so disgusting not to mention getting off the elevator to our room on the third floor and there was drywall and paint and plastic and chemicals in the air it was Despicable we let the front desk know and asked him why would somebody put us on the floor the renovating and he commented night guy was new okay so why was he not trained and why was he putting people on the floor that was being renovated close it down renovate it and have a grand opening or put people on a floor where it's finished it does have nice rooms that we have been in,in the past they had light bulbs missing from the lamps the lighting was ridiculous bottom line This is feedback so hopefully the owner can make some changes or do some proper training and have more staff then just somebody at the front desk taking money and keeping an eye on a whole hotel alone we will never stay at the Red Roof Inn in Lincoln Park. I believe they set a bad name for redroof Inn because they're actually an average hotel not theirs I don't give one star Sorry I don't like to leave comments or rating unless they're good but hey you get what you are a lot of changes need to be made and I think OSHA should be involved of the safety and this building. I had to wait at least one star but you don't deserve that hopefully this can be address properly or closed down until renovation is complete cuz OSHA goes in there and that's what will happen!

This is actually not a Red Roof anymore even tho the Sign and the agents shirt state such. Guess they are mid sale?? Bad customer service, act like they don't see you when leaving, hardly ever see anyone at the desk, lobby stairs need very badly to be vacuumed, breakfast isn't much, no one is watching over that, pastries very dry, waffle maker hasn't been cleaned in years it looks like, no one cleaning tables or counters, etc. No extra toilet paper in the bathroom, water in sink hardly drains, carpet tattered. Rooms did seem to be fairly clean surprisingly. Way outdated bed spreads..whole place needs to be redone very badly. Would not stay here again.

BED BUGS.! i had several bed bugs in my bed. The sofa had a rip in it, the chair was stained as well as the mattress. I would never stay here again nor would recommend anyone else to, well unless you like bed bugs

Please do Not waste your precious time at the Red Roof Inn in Lincoln Park, MI! This place is completely disgusting!! The front desk staff very unprofessional, rude and do Not speak the language well at all!!! Save your money and time and go somewhere else!

This hotel is terrible, they didn't even want to give me extra towels. I had to go hard on the clerk for 2 towels. After which he "started getting noise complaints" and threatening to kick us out, but the rooms surrounding mine are loud and they smoking weed. Lousy customer service!!

Spa tub didnt work. Toilet seat was broke. Lose bathroom tile cut foot on it. When you sat on sofa you sunk. No key for safe my husband had to sleep with pistol under his head.Tv was out dated with poor reception. Room was clean and comfortable looking but kinda outdated.
