Place needs some updating. But the people are great and the hockey leagues are pretty cool. Go mighty mites. Lol

Great place to cool down from the heat. The new bistro bar is a great addition with good food and beer.

Great staff, great atmosphere, and great for the young beginner ice skater. We recently held my daughter's 11th birthday here and for a fraction of the cost of the other 2 rinks in Broward county, they allow us to bring our own food and drink, rent a private room next to the ice for $40, and provided us with a dedicated party host who was incredibly attentive and helpful from the moment we began to set up till she helped us load our car with supplies and gifts then THANKED us for helping her clean up the room.

Yes, the decor could use an update, their rental skates are definetly not brand new and in need of a new pair of laces and some TLC, and get their early to rent an ice skate trainer if you have a little one as they are in limited supply. However, the rink is smaller and more intimate where you can actually quickly and easily see and identify your friends or children from any vantage point off the ice; the ice is not packed with speed skating teenagers that typically loiter and clog the middle or dodge in and out of a field of beginners; you can actually hear and enjoy the music playing while you skate; food, drink and locker rental are affordable as is admission and rental; and as for the skates, you can trade them in as often as needed until you find the right pair with both (hockey and figure).

Oh, and who really cares if their carpet hasn't been changed since the 80s as the place not only feels retro and like something out of a John Hughes film but the ice is frozen and resurfaced at the beginning and midpoint of each 2 hour public skating session.

Highly recommended for a fun NOT in the sun day out for beginners, a couple on a first date but especially for a families with small children. Glacier is one of the last of a nearly dead breed of businesses that put quality of customer service, atmosphere, and affordability before the style over substance, overpriced/under-delivering, zero customer consideration business model we have just come to expect and tolerate as consumers and customers.

I have been coming to Glacier at least twice a week since January 2017. The group lessons are amazing ways to start skating - I fell in love and purchased my own skates from their pro shop. I was very tentative about spending so much money, but Lisa gave me the pros and cons of all the skates and let me make my own decision. I love skating there, the atmosphere is very chill and the workers are very helpful and fun. Great environment, I couldn't imagine my life without Glacier Ice

I go skating here every week, because it`s close to my place. Ice quality is mediocre, and the place is very old and not very clean. But today I was kicked out for taking selfi!!! Can you believe that? Very tough Jennifer Ducharme gave me full refund and said that I harassed children and women by taking pictures. I showed her the picture I took, where I was absolutely alone, but she decided to protect unknown self conscious paranoid person, who thinks she is Taylor Swift. I didn`t hear any regrets or excuses, only order to leave. Very uncomfortable! You`ve hurt my feelings, Jennifer! I am waiting for excuses.

This is an older rink so SHOULD get 4 stars, but the folks who work there make up for the non-glam appearance. There is a main rink and a little half rink for private parties or practices. The rink has everything you would expect, skate rental, pro shop, snack bars, games, lockers, etc.
My kid plays hockey here and the coach is awesome. Everyone is really cool here, no attitude at all, friendly employees and fun atmosphere make this old rink a solid 5 stars!

Just had my daughters 6th birthday here and it was a HUGE hit! We rented out the small rink on the side and added an Iceslide (worth every penny!) The place its self is a little run down but there isnt one on S.FL that isnt. John manned the slide throughout the party and he was amazing. He joked with he kids, had snow thrown at him (threw a little back at them) and was just an all around amazing sport, really added to the fun. Our host was great as well. The place is chill and allowed parents to walk on the ice with shoes and we all played with the snow provided. You really get your moneys worth as far as parties go for 40 something people. Thanks glacier ice and big shout out to John for making yesterday so special and enjoyable!

One of my favorite places to go skate. I really love how it's never too crowded and the ice is in fantastic condition every time. The staff is also extremely helpful and courteous.

I go here regularly, great facility. Older facility but the staff is friendly and courteous and the fee to skate is reasonable. Fully equipped pro shop. If you are skating frequently, my suggestion is to invest in your own pair of skates, it will save you in the long run on rental fees.
