This was one of d finest or would say d bestest Indian grocery stores I have ever visit. 5 star for cleanliness and the product placement. Also the quality and price is up to the mark. I tried some snacks from their kitchen and they were fresh and delicious. Won't write more. Would recommend to try it out yourself. M sure desi brothers must be d most well known and customer friendly store in Austin, Tx.
Must go to place for all Indian. Very nice Samosas
An ever changing array of hot n fresh Indian food for me to try, as well as a cheap grocery store? sign me up! Desi's has awesome food, awesome prices, and awesome awesomeness. oh, and did I mention the awesomeness? only complaint is that it's hard to find the prices on don't things, especially cold foods, but whatever. still snazzy.
I love the food bar, don't know half of what I'm eating, but I love it none the less. A wonderful way to explore the Indian cuisine, and it's not stupid overpriced too! Would definitely (and do!) recommend this place to anyone looking for some yummy eats, or a cheap place to shop.
I did not find the store at William Cannon dr to be good. They have many items which have crossed the 'best before' date. Some of the items' 'best before' date label is removed or scratched- made me think it's because the date is passed and the items are very stale. Saw a few items with fungus growing on it. Some of the staff doesn't understand English well and isn't able to help you locate items if you cannot find something. Moreover, found it slightly expensive.
This is a one stop for all your indian shopping list. They also serve good Indian sweets and street food. Samosa from here is a must to try.
At Gadhi bazaar, shital was very helpful and very friendly, and all vegetables was fresh.
Very friendly and nice selection for local Indian spices and groceries. Wish that it had local baked naan. Not intimidating for a newbie to Indian cuisine.
I love the spice mixes, such as garam masala and chaat masala made locally, but sometimes they don't have them in stock. My husband loves the spicy pre made curry pastes in the refrigerated section. They have every spice, legume, mint, kafir lime leaves, etc. you need to make Indian dishes and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I have on occasion bought snack mixes that tasted off, per other comments I will check expiration dates.
Its a very good place to purchase Indian stuff. The prices are nominal and their Diwali sale is extremely good. The only difficult with this store is its location with respect to HEB. It's a hassle to shop at Gandhi Bazaar and then make it to HEB (an advantage exploited by Manpasand, as it is located on the way). Otherwise, its a very good store. Their collection is larger than Manpasand and their vegetables are fresher. They used to have a decent Chaat place. And their samosas are one of the best.
Great for all indian items. Food, Utensils, Produce even religious items and sarees/ jewelry. Great Store! props to gandhi bazar
Fun place to shop for Indian goods. Friendly staff and interesting selections. Good parking.
If anyone looking for india based grocery shop. Its the one. Having all variety of indian items like masalas and all other. I had a good time here like home. Thanks😀
Huge selection of frozen and dry goods. Produce is small but looked good. Chaat deli open Friday- Sunday.
I recently moved here from New York so definitely loving the price difference . The store is fully stocked most of the time and looks very organized . Staff is also very helpful and friendly . Plenty of parking in front and don't forget to bring your own bags 😀
Great selection of ingredients and pre-made products! MTRs are my favorite to heat up for a late night snack.
You get most of Indian grocery, vegetables and some snacks here. Vegetables are fresh the day they arrive. A little cramped.
Large Indian grocery store. Mixed range of products though it'd be nice to have expiry dates on all. Friendly service..
Was in the area for a football game with my daughter and we decided to drop by and grab a couple sandwiches for the game. You order what you want on a slip of paper and they make it to your specks. NiceCan't go wrong the different breads and you pick your meats and if you get a large you got to be hungry. If your around drop on by.
Perfect place for all Indian groceries, don't miss out diwali offers, you could get a lot of daily stuff for half its price.!!
This place is great! They have a little food cart on Friday and Saturday which has freshly prepared inexpensive indian street food too.
