Gentlemen working the front desk was extremely disrespectful during the covid crisis. I brought my 3 year old nephew and he gave me lip about it. Sorry dude. Some people have kids. When I asked for his name he didn’t want to give it to me. Maybe he just doesn’t want black customers considering the foolish commentary which is that blacks are more likely to catch it. After asking for his boss, he wouldn’t tell me his name then followed me out of the store to yell at me about the severity of covid. He’s an jerk and has no respect.

We have been buying meat from this place since we moved to Texas. My husband placed a substantial order today. About 6-7 hours ago. They usually call when the order is ready or give you time to pick up, today they did neither. First my husband calles to inquire about if our order was ready or not, no answer. I call and get an answer but the gentleman was very rude. I simply wanted to know how long the cut up meat was there waiting as we did not receive a call. He told me, “we don’t put a timer on the meat, you can come get it or not, we’re busy”. I just want to say thank you for the superb customer service. Thank you for answering my question with such care! And you’ve lost a customer.

I have been going to this store for a very long time. The owner of the store is a very king generous person. Specially with current situation they are doing community service by providing us with food and putting them selves at front line dealing people, and exposing them to potential virus.
Some may see as a business opportunity but I see it as service to us and we should appreciate their effort. Let’s not forget that people working at stores are humans and they have their ups and downs, and dealing with impatient folks can take a toll on ones nerve.
I personally thank you for what you are doing for us and will always be your loyal customer.

TWO STARS FOR FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE I really wanted to like this place because it's local and they have very good customer service. HOWEVER, they sell expired and repackaged food and that's just wrong! I bought gram flour that I didn't discover until I got home, had been repackaged using scotch tape no less! Next trip, the seal of the ginger garlic paste had been peeled slightly back, as if someone just needed a couple squirts, but didn't want to commit. Finally, THE LAST STRAW was the Kasoori Methi that was so badly expired that it was discolored and began to disintegrate! GROSS! Hopefully they will get it together because they seem to be nice people.

Excellent service and fair prices. You can get fresh pita from Phoenicia Bakery & Deli on weekends. Good selection of frozen halal meat, but they also have fresh.

This place is a gem! I recently purchased the cookbook Vegan Richa's Indian Kitchen and have been wanting to cook recipes from it. The Indo Pak Supermarket had everything I needed. They have tons of spices, nuts, chutneys, curries, lentils & rice at beyond reasonable prices. The cashier was friendly and helpful with locating the spices I was looking for. They have all of the Indian spices you could want and so many jars of tahini, too. I'm so happy I happened upon this store and even more happy that it's right down the road from my house. This will be my go-to for spices and Indian foods from now on. Thank you, Indo Pak!

This is my first visit to an Indian/Pakistani store. This store is well organized, and makes good use of the space to pack a large store into a small space.

I am a foodie, and I'm frustrated that regular American style grocery stores have reduced their spice selections to the point that they have 100 brands of the same basic spice mixture, eliminating the space that used to be occupied by a wider variety of single ingredient spices. As a result the grocery stores do not have any real selection at all unless you really need 100 varieties of pre-mixed bbq rubs. I found Indo Pak had a whole isle side dedicated to an easy to shop selection of fresh spices, with long dates on them. Every thing I chose has years of shelf life, and most of the items were in 200 gram (~7 ounces) packages for between $1.29 and $2.49. So for $10.50 I purchased spices that would have cost me at least $60 at normal grocery store prices.

Most of the spices looked like they came in whole or ground versions, but I generally choose whole and grind them myself, so having the choice of whole spices is a big win for me.

There was another item I was looking for, and I walked right to the item as if I knew where it was all along. In general I found the store very easy to find exactly what I came for, so my experience was very efficient.

I was warmly greeted at the checkout, and the service was fast and efficient. I think I have found a new favorite grocery store! I plan to spend more time here in the future, and will be studying the cuisine in more detail as I learn how to make more of the food that I have only enjoyed in restaurants before.
