The best campground in Boone. We have been going there 9 years and have been staying all summer (6months) the last 4yrs. A wonderful family owned campground, and the staff is the greatest.
Very family friendly. Reliable power, but I didn't use water, so can't say anything of it. The their map they give is not to scale, so don't expect the campground to be as small as you see on the map, or as large, depending on where on the map it is. Free balls for the activity area of camp. The creek was very nice at night, added background sound so you don't hear anything from other campers. Very nice. Restrooms were clean, and plenty of hot water. That definitely something I look for on a campsite, and this one did not disappoint. 😄 Shower stalls have two separate sections, separated by a shower curtain, so your clothes and other items don't get wet. Very much appreciated.
The campsite and facilities were clean. There’s a nice stream running through. Water and electricity are at every site. The only problem for me was that the sites are very close together. Many of the patrons are in RVs or pop-up campers - very few tents.
The RV camp sites are TIGHT! When i extended my owning it was 3 feet from the camper beside us. But honestly this really didn't cause much of an issue. We had a creek side spot. Wonderful sound and view of the creek. Our firepit was actually located on the creek bank it was only 5 feet from my neighbors camper but still far away enough to have a nice little fire. Our kids loved it! Big sand box, play ground, the creek, basket ball, horse shoes. The cleanest bath house's i have seen at a campground! The only problem we had, it was difficult exiting the campground into 4 lanes of traffic. We will defiantly be back to stay at flint lock again!
Loved hearing the water at night camped right at the creek. My grandsons had a blast there. The people there were really nice and helpful. Will go camping there again.
I love camping here! Sleeping next to the stream is the best
We had a great stay over a holiday weekend. There were a lot of families and children for playmates for the kids. Of course it rained every day while we were there, but everyone in the campground was helpful for our family who are amateur campers. The campground itself is rather small and the spaces are very close to each other. The shower and toilet facilities were clean. The campground would be very nice if there were more shower and toilet facilities closer to where most of the camping sites are located.
Awesome place! Great amenities, very clean!!!!! Great views and had a nice stream running through! Even though it rained while we were there the trees provide enough cover to keep you dry! Will definitely be staying here in the future!
Great campground. Clean bathhouse and ample camp sites. Wonderful place to stay. The staff made the 5th star. They were welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Though we were in a popup, we did stay the last night in a cabin due to heavy rain. Cabins are really nice and made for a better nights sleep during a pretty bad storm. Other campers there were great to be around, not nosy and not stand-offish. Just the right mix. HOT showers and did I say clean bathhouse? Great place near town but not too close.
A family owned campground nestled in the hills. Clean bathrooms and shower and also clean laundry room. The lodge is sweet, nothing fancy except for their huge fireplace which is lit most of the time. The sitting area offers games, couches, and comfortable chairs. The front porch has rocking chairs for your comfort and as you sit on the porch you hear the running brook. The campsites are clean and nice, cabins are clean and nice (bring your own sheets and blankets though) each lot has its own fire pit and wood is available. They also provide help with backing up your camper if you need it..we did were newbies. Staff is super friendly and so happy to have you there. We are going back in April
