The veggie omelet and home fries are delicious, the delivery is free, and there is a discount for paying with cash! My only issue: the bagels suck. If you’re not going to mask it as a sandwich or with cream cheese don’t bother trying a bagel, they have no flavor.
Walked in around 9:30 on a Sunday morning and got a table right away. Our waitress was quick and helpful. Wife and I both got bagels with egg and chese, and each of them was lukewarm at best. Bagels were a good size and tasty, but keep them in the toaster till they're hot next time!
The wait was too long. They apparently received a large order and were not staffed to handle the crowd. We waited more than an hour for our bagels. The staff didn't offer any refills for drinks. I feel for the wait staff who had to go through that. And after the wait, the food didn't seem all that. I would go again to give them a second chance. :)
Boone Bagelry is a great place to have a good breakfast, quick bite, or just get things to go. The food is really good but sometimes on Sundays it can be super hectic. When it gets crowded it can take a very long time for food to arrive and the quality lowers vastly
This is a nice cozy place for a quick bite. The bagels here are fantastic but they have other options, mostly breakfast items and sandwiches. The service here is polite and pretty timely. It is usually not crowded and there are plenty of seating options.
One of the most disappointing eating experiences I've ever had the displeasure of having. First of all staff is all hungover, stoned, or both and has no idea what they're doing. After waiting twenty minutes to receive menus we waited another 15 to have our drinks and orders taken. No less than another HOUR later do we get our bagels which should by no means take that long. The prices and up charges are ridiculous and a total ripoff, six dollars for a bacon egg and cheese that comes with one piece of bacon on a non toasted bagel that tastes like a two day old dinner roll. Wanted to add sausage to my breakfast bagel and it's a three dollar up charge for a sausage patty that they bring separately? So you have to assemble your own after waiting an hour? We asked for one of our bagels to go and she brings it on a plate, no problem, could we just get the box with that? By the time they brought the box everyone had already finished their food Just over all an overpriced unenjoyable experience for far below par food, youre better off at any other breakfast place I've ever been to.
I wish there was more parking and seating space, but I understand that's hard to accomplish in downtown Boone. The bagels are amazing, though!
This place is a rip off!! Traveling thru Boone and stopped here for a quick bite I ordered 3 bagels with cream cheese for over $10. After waiting 25 minutes for bagels that were in the display case a foot a way from the staff. I asked where's my food, their reply "we are busy with a big order" and it will be up shortly, and they went back to their conversation..10 minutes go by and still nothing I asked for a refund and magically my bagels were ready.. 2 girls behind the counter couldn't toast up 3 bagels and slap some cream cheese on it? Got a refund and walked out do not go near this place the service sucks..
Word to the owner: Read these reviews pal, have some pride in ownership. I'm sure the mortgage was paid years ago and judging by the decor of old photos from the 80's its been paying for itself for a while $3.50 for a bagel with cheese is disgustingly over priced and your staff are stoned, lazy or both. The bathrooms were disgusting and the place is a filthy mess..
Staff wasn’t very friendly. Sorry if you were up late with a football game in town. Everyone looked hung over. Way overpriced Bigelow Green Tea. For almost 2.50 you can purchase a whole box of tea. Side of peanut butter was crazy $$$$ as well. This place was not my cup of tea. How do the students afford it? Sorry, just keeping it real.
The bagels are more like dinner rolls than NYC bagels, but the orange juicewell, the best I've had since I squeezed my own with oranges picked fresh from the tree! I enjoyed my Texas omelets with chili and cheese as I found it an interesting combination.
Good food. Great atmosphere. Not the student budget friendly local gem it used to be.
We have loved Boone Bagelry for years and it weighed significantly on my decision to attend Appalachian. It's still as good as it has ever been! The omelette platters and bagelicious are always good! I cannot get enough BB!
Great spot for quick delicious food. Very consistent and the bagels are great. Wait staff is always friendly and sunny.
Best place in Boone to get a good bagel. The cash only discount is a great way to lower the cost! Never had a bad experience here.
Great food and not too expensive! Great for breakfast, I usually get a bagellicious and add cream cheese to it for extra goodness. Fantastic pancakes as well!!
