I am about a month out from getting my hair colored with Jamie. She did wonderfully and worked hard to make sure my end result was what I wanted. I ended up with an edgy balayage ombre. I have been getting my hair cut at shear shakti for several years now and it is always a good choice!

A lot of men turn around a look for another place to go once they see the word "salon" however I think this is one of, if not THE best place for a guy to get a haircut. Modern, yet comfortable setting, and very skilled and friendly people working there! I wish I remembered the name of the guy that cut my hair the last time I went. He asked me what I wanted to do, I gave him very little information just because I'm really bad at explaining things lol, but he was very patient and I just let him cut because I could see he was very confident. As he should be, too! I walked out with one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten.

I received a wonderful healing massage from Piper after getting in a bad car wreck and needing some work done on my neck and shoulders. So much care was shown to me, and I was impressed by the time and attention she gave to make sure I was comfortable and I was getting my needs met. The staff was also really kind and accommodating. Bonus points for the cool atmosphere, elegant and comfortable design of the studio space, and really great lighting and music.

Shear Shakti had a very warm welcome once I arrived to donate my hair. It had been a few years since I had a haircut and I was very nervous about a haircut to say the least. Chelsea was the stylist I randomly chose when I scheduled online, which is a super convenient aspect in addition to their accommodations upon arrival. After taking the donation hair, I asked her to cut it as she saw fit. I couldn't be more happy or comfortable with how the new haircut fits and feels. Let them work wonders for you !

I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with Piper. Initially, when I called, I was desperate. She said she would come back to work that day and work on my tired body. I was a mess since I sit in front of a computer 5 days a week and some on the weekends. Since meeting Piper, my mind, body and spirit have been rejuvenated. I highly recommend her. She takes the time to listen to what is going on with your body and then goes to work! She is amazing! So glad we crossed paths. She is on my list for life! Thank you Piper!! You and the staff could not be nicer and more accommodating to your clients. Keep up the fantastic job!!

Chelsea did my hair yesterday. She colored, cut and styled my hair. I am very picky. So much that I have been driving 5 hours each way to have my hair done for the last 2 years. Chelsea did an amazing job! I could not be happier! The salon is bright and cheery and the staff is warm and friendly! I am happy I have found a salon I love in Boone!

Sometimes there are things you can't get over. I came to this salon for my wedding hair. I was told by multiple people it was the place to get your hair done for your special day. I paid for two hair runs before the wedding, both times I felt like the stylist didn't get me and was rude. It should be said that she was also the owner.

Thinking that my wedding day would be different I threw caution to wind mostly because I already paid my deposit. My wedding day comes, the salon is locked, the owner isn't answering her phone, I had no one to do my hair. Devastated would be an understatement. People should know about my story because what I experienced was absolutely terrible. They did give me a refund and free product, but I will never forget that gut dropping emotion I felt on my wedding day thanks to this business.

I loved my haircut here with Tyki! However, there were some payment issues which meant I was charged twice for a $60 haircut--as a college student, this sucked MAJORLY (I ended up over drafting my account etc. etc.) I know sometimes stuff like this happens but it could have been handled a bit better. Go for the haircut though and maybe just pay cash!

I was in town with my family and my husband wanted to treat me to a new haircut. I cannot say enough nice things about this salon! Joelle was AMAZING! She is friendly, skilled, kind, and my hair was EXACTLY what I wanted! I paid a very good price and the salon had a great vibe! I'm not even from this area but when we return to Boone for our next visit, I will come back to her, and when we move permanently, I will be a frequent client! I can personally and professionally vouch for her; I am a former stylist of 13 years. I enjoyed my experience! Thank you, Joelle!
