Clam chowder warm, not hot. It was a different kind of chowder; I prefer the type that has potatoes in it. Service was good.

This was a nice, friendly place to have dinner. Not as pretentious as some of Carmel's other dining spots. A varied menu with lots of gluten free options. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was pleasant, laid back and quaint. Looked like a full bar and also beer on tap and an assortment of wines to choose from.

Absolutely LOVE the lobster bisque! It's to buttery and flavorful that I always want more. I've tried many things on the menu and have not found something I didn't like! If you're into seafood, you have to give this place a try.

Is over rated not that great in service. Customer service is lacking. Seafood is just okay. A lot of better restaurants in the area. The owner is not so friendly and you do not really feel welcome. It's not a happy and warm environment. They do not know how to be cheerful and make you dining experience feel special.

Very nice staff. Three choices of seating outside, bar, or more formal dining. Price is a little above average on some things but it is Carmel. Would definitely go again.

Not very good unfortunately. Food looked great, but didn't taste good, parts were OK at best. Other parts, horrible. Service was dismal. Felt like a chain restaurant that just needed to get it's numbers up but really lacked substance, flavor and quality ingredients. By contrast, our family & another who travelled with us, LOVED Affina. Similar in price but light years ahead in taste and quality. More in keeping with the enchanting atmosphere of this beautiful, darling town of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Had dinner here with a reservation. The staff was quite helpful and polite. They recommended well and we had an amazing time. We started off with the oysters and I ended up getting the Scallop risotto. I figured we were by the sea so I should get seafood and I believe I made the right choice!

Great service from friendly staff. Had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly to medium rare with mashed potatoes. The sourdough bread was nice also. Finished with the apple torte with ice cream; make sure to leave room for this!
