The room is nice for stay. But the first time I checked in the hotel, it was a bad experience. The one guy at the front desk said we didn't book a room that night and after we tried to show him the confirmation from our agent, he argued with us and said just contact your agent, can't help you. We called our agent then direct the call to them and finally the guy recognize our booking after a long conversation between our agent and the hotel. It really sucks to have this bad customer service in such a nice hotel. Hopefully the hotel could improve better.
Very nice and inviting place. I love the decor and modern look of the place. My room was very clean and not too packed with furniture. The pool area is extremely nice with lots of outdoor seating. I would definitely stay here again. Not to mention there's a Starbucks in the lobby :) I super like the ambiance in the evening, it's great.
Lobby was spacious and modern. They have a sundry area and a cafe in the lobby. Rooms were wonderful and clean. The curtains let a lot of light into the room, but other than that my stay was wonderful from the check-in to check-out experience. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Hotel is walking distance from Sizzler's, McDonald's, Starbucks, GameStop, etc.
I just checked out of this Marriott yesterday. I have always liked Marriotts but feel incredibly disappointed with my stay here. The first night we went to go to sleep, I pulled the covers back and there were disgusting stains on the sheets that looked like dried blood. I called down to the front desk and they sent someone up with sheets and handed them to me to put on myself. Granted, it was midnight, but I’ve never had to change my own sheets at a hotel before. When we pulled the sheets off, we realized there was also a same-colored (smaller) stain on the mattress pad! Gross - this means to me that the sheets weren’t changed!
I spoke to a manager the next morning and he offered a different room, but since we had unpacked all of our stuff I asked if they could replace all of our bedding including the mattress pad. They made it sound like it was no problem. We got back to the hotel that night and I checked the mattress pad and it hadn’t been replaced. So we had to call down again and were finally able to get it replaced. I tried to speak with a manager about this for 3 days in a row and every time the front desk said they’d have someone call me, which never happened. I’m not one to complain (unless I have a very horrible meal out, but even then sometimes I won’t say anything), but I felt this needed to be shared.
Additionally we were told upon check in that if we parked in the gated area, we should scan our room card it and it will charge $6 a night. So, based on that, we tried every night to park in the limited parking outside the gate. We would even wait out an available parking spot. Upon check out, we were charged for parking for every day and were told that if we have a car on their property we get charged. I will say that upon writing the manager, we were refunded for the parking. But as for the sheets, the discount was negligible and seems incredibly inadequate given that our situation wasn’t resolved immediately and there was never any effort to get in touch with us over three days. Not to mention the fact that our room appeared to have DIRTY sheets. That’s disgusting and unacceptable when you are literally paying a lot of money to sleep somewhere. We have stayed at Baldwin Park before, but never will again.
While I understand this isn't a 5-star establishment, I expected a clean room and bed. Our sheets were stained with what looked to be blood and they brought us sheets so we could replace them ourselves. There was a similar colored stain on the mattress pad as well. We asked to have our mattress pad replaced and they never did it. We had to call again to have this addressed. Furthermore, we asked to speak to a manager every day and were told 3 days in a row that someone would have a manager call us and that never happened either. I've stayed at this Marriott before and that's why I was a repeat customer, but after this experience I will take my money elsewhere.
Attended a full day company meeting here. The facility itself was clean and modern. Meals and snacks we're good and well attended. The location is right on the freeway, so it was easy to spot for my first visit. Parking was not great, there was a gated/attended lot in front, and I was unclear on whether non-overnight guests could use this parking. Open lot parking was available around then side/back of the hotel, next to the attached Sizzler(?) restaurant.
This hotel was pretty expensive this weekend but it was a last minute thing and every thing else was booked.
It's a nice Hotel the beds are comfortable, the staff was polite and friendly. I think it was worth the price, especially considering our only other option would have been Motel 6.
My first place to sleep after 25hr flights. Nice and clean place to stay. This is not a lux hotel with awesome service. You need to do stuff for yourself such as carry your own bags by looking and using the carriage. Looking for your own room and etc. But for just have a quiet rest, is a nice place to go. You've got many restaurants around. Not bad on price.
Great service It's sizzler food.. good salad and soup bar
Very nice rooms. 1st class lobby. Only complaint would be mattresses we're a little too soft
We reserved rooms for or wedding thus past weekend we reserved a suite it was very nice and comfortable Plenty of room for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in. The staff was very nice and helpful.
This is a pretty hotel, no question. But I don't like the feeling that I am getting nickle and dimed. They charge for parking when the hotel is in an enormous parking lot (shared with Home Depot!). Their parking lot still does not provide access to the building. Breakfast is unnecessarily expensive, in my opinion. A breakfast sandwich is $8 and a bowl of cereal of cereal about $5. You get a coupon for 10% off, but this is basically sales tax. No high chairs for babies, some rude staff, and a room phone that doesn't work just added a little more to my irritation.
Always a great place to stay. Right off the 10 freeway makes it convenient to most L.A. attractions. Service was warm and inviting.
