Came here to try the happy hour menu. Their regular menu is pretty pricey, but I've heard good things about it. Their happy hour cocktails were really good. It was super refreshing with a a good amount of alcohol. Their small happy hour tapas dishes were delicious, esp the beef.
Dined here two nights. Both nights had a highlight but the entrees were lack luster. The seaweed salad is amazing, truly truly delicious, the Chef does the justice of serving three types of wonderfully flavored seaweed with a little garnish of tomato caviar on top. Perfection. The desserts are out of this world, the samba split is a simple but outstanding plate of flavors and textures and I'll have it every time. The other dessert that is out of this world is basically perfect japanese donut rolls filled with exquisite chocolate mousse and some delicious ice cream with a very flavorful berry sauce, again perfection. The charcoal grilled meats are lack luster and boring, except the duck done medium rare, specify warm pink middle and it comes out perfect. Sushi is good to average, nothing special in the sashimi department for the high price.
There's a very annoying wall size video on a loop that is rather annoying to the dining experience playing over some of the back tables, ask to be seated elsewhere in the restaurant.
You guys should see this place. OMG the interior is amazing. It's like a blend of Japanese and something else. It's a bit pricey but everything on the menu is worth it. Our attentive was very attentive and pleasant, a bit too cheerful (but that's just me). How they serve the dish is just as impressive as how the food actually tastes.
Man, I'm usually pretty sympathetic to a restaurant having an off night but I wish I could travel back in time. Sushisamba sure had their B team on tonight. Or they just considered me and my group a B team. Suggested by Venetian front desk, took ages to order drinks, took 20 minutes just to get drinks, another 15 to even get our meal order taken. Which could be forgiven IF it was packed. but the back section was dead. Not pleased at all with the service considering the high prices. I can't remember the last time I left a low tip. I have grown up in the industry and know the minimum standards. Not acceptable.
Stopped in for a late night snack and was pleasantly surprised. We sat at the bar and had a few items off happy hour-- everything was fresh and extremely flavourful. Our bartender/server was attentive and the drinks were great! Husband tried a sake flight and loved it. The decor was really interesting
We had the sake flight of three different brews and that was pretty fun and tasty. The white German wine they have on their menu is very smooth and delicious! As for my entree, I got two rolls: The spicy tuna and the salmon avocado. The salmon avocado was very tasty but the spicy tuna fell short of my expectations.
A hidden gem inside the Palazzo mall. Foot traffic does not go by here so we were able to find it by accident. We love sitting at the bar munching the small taco's and enjoying a new cocktail concoction that the bartender recommends. Everything I have had here has always been enjoyable, fresh and tasty.
Great place, food excellent and staff awesome, just can't believe that the coffee machine has been broken for more than two months!!! Unbelievable in a place like this, but very real understand machines fail, specially when intensively used, but not fixing or replacing it in two months is just bad management I will continue going there, but I will have to take my own coffee maker
We had a large group, so we had made a reservation. We waited for over an hour for another large group to leave so that we could be seated. I was disappointed that they couldn't put together another group of tables that could sit 10. When we were finally seated, the manager offered his sincerest apologies and provided us with free appetizers and a tree of shots. The food was good and the free apps and shots made up for the inconvenience.
Inquired via email about the Whiskey Experience. Also called well in advance to confirm availability. Was told I could come in whenever I pleased and my request would be fulfilled. Walked in and was told they needed 48 hours notice and a party of 4 or more. A missed opportunity for a high paying customer.
Very small and expensive starters, small plates, and sushu menu. Our waiter promises to recommend a good dunner for under 60 a person. We shouldn't have listened, spent over 100 and basically got 3 Appetizer size plates ro share. Ended up ordering from the large plates section which was a good portion size and delicious. Highly recommend the seafood stew large plate.
I have been here 3 times. The first time I ate here I was blown away by the service, the food, and the ambiance. And every time I ate sushi at different places, I based my judgement off of my experience here. I hadn't been back in about 3 years since this week and I feel like the faces have changed, but the quality, the service, and the general welcoming feel that all of the staff gave me has only made me love it more. The management running this place have been doing a great job at maintaining quality, and the staff that is executing this has been doing a great job too. Kudos to everyone that works here.
If you haven't had the chance to eat at Sushi Samba, it is definitely a must.
Giving them 4 stars due to the atmosphere. My husband and I got here and was seated quickly. Our table was two inch away from the next table. It was so loud I couldn't hear myself talk and had to scream to conduct a conversation.
The menu wasn't very encouraging. We ordered our food with suggestions from our waitress. To our surprise, the food here was absolutely good! Everything was seasoned well and the seafood was fresh. I would definitely recommend!
