Having spent 10 years in the military, I have moved around A LOT!! I've had many different experiences with movers, and I have to say, my move with Five Star yesterday was probably one of the best I've ever had! My movers did an AWESOME job!! They worked hard, worked quickly, and took good care of all of my things.
The only reason I give this 4 instead of 5 stars is the price. Actual move time (loading & unloading) was less than 2 hrs. However they also charge you for the time to drive the truck back to their headquarters after the move is finished. It should not have costed $400 to move my small studio from Waukesha to downtown Milwaukee. But considering how well the move went, I'm not mad at paying a little extra. I highly recommend these guys if you can afford to pay a little more.

I learned of Five Star Movers from a family friend who used them for a cross-country move. Isac (the owner) and the team at Five Star Movers took care of our move from Wisconsin to Orange County, California. It was a great moving experience! They did a fantastic job. Isac came to our home and gave us an estimate of the move. The final price was very close to the estimate and the price was lower than other competitors' estimates. Working with Five Star Movers also allowed us to have our things moved in a moving truck (rather than consolidated with other people's items in a semi-trailer). This meant that our items arrived in California much quicker than what other moving companies were offering. Indeed, our items arrived a day early, which meant we could cut our hotel stay short and move into our home more quickly. The movers also took great care in loading and unloading our items. With the exception of one item, nothing was damaged, and Isac offered to replace the one broken item. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We used these movers when we moved from Atlanta to Waukesha about five years ago. The deal was three movers for two hours to unload the truck. It only took two hours to load in Atlanta and, since loading is harder than unloading, this should have been more than enough time. The two boys worked hard, but were clearly inexperienced. One was very young (14ish) and the other did not understand English. The owner (who was apparently one of the three movers) didn't do much - slid boxes to the boys, picked up small items, etc. I stopped the process and renegotiated on the spot because they were clearly not capable of doing the work that would would expect of a "professional" moving company. We made it work, but I would never recommend them. Also, the owner accidentally charged my credit card too much money. Not really becoming of the name "five star."

Very unproffessional and Extremely rude. The gentleman with the accent was so rude i cant believe he can survive in the service industry. I am a long time company owner and find it utterly disgusting to have to deal with such people.

STAY AWAY. I booked a very easy move with them. Ground floor, short local drive, 3 weeks out. Move confirmed. On moving day, NO CALL NO SHOW!!! I called Isac and he told me he didn't know anything about the move until I refreshed his memory with details from the email. He told me they were closed on Saturdays. Never apologized, never tried to work with me. Worthless. This company has a reputation of blowing off booked moves for larger more profitable moves. STAY AWAY!!!

Bunch of nut jobs. They spammed my phone with calls 3 times in a row, even after I had told them I only want email contact (not phone calls). I had emailed them immediately after and repeated that fact and told them I was doing my initial search only (Hence, my general questions about their services and insurance), but they haven't bothered to reply to those multiple emails I sent after their spam-flood of phone calls. I will avoid this place, just too many red flags with their customer service and definitely not 5-star anything.

Anthony and Jeremy did a fantastic job moving my belongings into a pre-arranged container. I had enough belongings for three rooms, and they neatly and efficiently packed everything onto the shipping container in less than an hour and a half. I am a professional planner and had everything organized, packed and ready to go, and had anticipated it to be about a 2 - 3 hour job. But they cut that time in half due to their experience and ability to appropriately pack by understanding the necessity to utilize all available space and compact it where there is little to no movement during transport. I would highly recommend Five Star Movers, and would have given them five stars, had it not been for the fact that they were about an hour later than I expected them to arrive. Aside from that, do not hesitate to contract them for your next move. They were worth the wait!
