We had a tent site by Muskegon Lake. The site was fairly level - a plus for a tent, and there was a picnic table, fire pit, and sandy beach. There is a playground, which is very nice for families, and the bathrooms/showers are fairly centrally located. The campground is clean and looked after (picked up, mowed, trimmed, roads are in good condition), and they even have a mini library/book trade. The owners are helpful and pleasant. I will almost definitely be back.
Boat launch is top notch. Supporting small thru large boats
Booked late. Pulled over by a pleasant man who tried to help us find our campsite. We were quickly accosted by the owner (his boss) who was aggressive and ill manored. I'd be ashamed if I were KOA--not the welcoming face in usually met with.
Good boat launch. I've been using it for years. Nice little camp ground right on the edge of the lake. Cleaning station for your fish. $10 for the launch $5 to clean fish.
It is great place for fisherman to stay or larch there boat. It has the only camp Ground in the city of Muskegon. There are several Launch ramps. I think the rate is 10.00
Great amenities! Loved being able to set up on grass too. Boat launch is close and beach is nice to have by all the sites. Will visit again!
We have camped there the last couple years and its great! Tough to beat for the money. Great boat launch with several docks and unlimited access, clean restrooms, lots are spacious, and downtown Muskegon is a short bike ride away on a beautifully constructed biketrail.
Great campground. Close to any amenity. Will visit again.
Manger is very rude. She's been managing the place for years. Things have not changed. Can't help but wonder what lead her to treat people so terrible, you can't help but feel sorry for her.
Great place to camp! Clean restrooms, grassy, well kept, great views of canal, nice playground for the kids.
This would be a great campground on the lake, but there is a guy(not an owner) that rides around on a golf cart smoking cigarettes and "patrolling" the place harassing everyone at the campground and boat launch. It is very creepy as he sits at the entrance and interrogates everyone as they drive in. We were there with our young children and he can up trying to intimidate us and blowing smoke at us and our young children. At night he sits in his white truck with the lights off watching people. We were not comfortable with our family at this place with him there and will not return.
