Stayed at this campground over the Labor Day weekend. Nothing to do in Muskegon area as it is not kept up well and not many good places to eat.

The staff was very friendly in helping my crew and assisting with directions. The campsite is very close to the road with a nice view of the lake, it is maintained fairly well however it is not as tidy as a Michigan State Park.

The campsite itself was mostly fine dirt and gravel with very little grass. shading was good as there are many trees, however prepare your car to be covered in sap by morning.

The restrooms are not very clean, they have a terrible layout and not put together well to keep clean or maintain. I did not use the showers as they were not in good condition and looked undesirable.

Fire pits are dug into the ground and you cannot escape the highway noise or road noise. campsites are very close to each other.

Stayed in a cabin on the lake for 2 nights with our 3 children. It was an Amazing Experience!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cabin and camp area looked after with care. Very quiet (excluding highway noise but to be expected based on convenient location to 31). We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, and fishing. We will definitely be back.:)

My family had the worse camping experience ever. We are a family of 4 quiet, and easy to get along with. When we pulled up to our camp site it was so small it was like we were sharing a site with 5 other families. We have a small fifth wheel and could not fit it in with our truck hooked up. My husband had to unhook the truck and park on an angle. We were harrased several times by security. Accused of possibly bring bacteria from another lake to theirs by using our floating devices. We were walking on egg shells with these people. The way they talked to me was so rude and disrespectful that it made me cry. We were supposed to spend 3 nights and left after one. I would never recommended this campground to anyone. What a nightmare!

There is plenty to do right at this campground. Fishing, boating, bike riding, and a bug beach with a playground. We'll go here every year! Bathrooms are clean and portapotty's are too. This year we rented a cabin and that was also very nice! Every campground employee was overly nice, really a great place!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. As far as camping goes The layout of the camp ground is poor. Sites are on top of each other. If you are planning on staying in a tent, there is no escape from the expressway noise. The bathrooms and shower look as though they are from a horror film. Major renovations and updates are needed. I do not recommend this site for families unless you are in an RV.

I have worked for these people for 11 years and they are also my parents. As I read through these reviews I am sickened by some of them. I remember specifically these certain people who have left such negative reviews and they all have neglected to tell you the whole story. One person has said that the owners are grumpy but they neglect to tell you how they couldn't abide by basic, common sense, suggested rules for our park. We are a family park, we have hundreds of people who grew up coming to camp here since they were children and now bring their children to. These negative reviewers neglect to in form you that at 3 am they are so drunk and loud and obnoxious and after asking for the tenth time to please respect our other campers, that police had to be called to remove them. Or they say our bathrooms are disgusting and port-potty are never cleaned, mind you I clean them personally. Our bathrooms are cleaned every hour on the hour sometimes even more than that, unlike most campgrounds who do it once a day. Those people are the ones who neglected to tell you how they use the showers and garbage cans for their own personal toilet and as for the grumpy owners.. They aren't grumpy, this is their home and something they share with everyone, but those ones that say they are grumpy also neglect to tell you that they walked in the door with a bad attitude demanding we move them because they didn't like the color of the flowers on their lot or because they want more than we can give them. Our campground is great, it isn't perfect but no campground is but please underatand that these negative reviews are people who do not give the whole story and to those who gave us such nice reviews, Thank you.

Our trip here will be a month long soon and we have had no issues what so ever. We camped by tent. 441 for a monthly rate with electric and water. Our trip has been great. They have working washers and dryers on site in their office where you can also buy camping essentials. There are 4 public showers with locks on the doors and usually hot water. Some times the water heater blows out but they are more than willing to call someone to fix it. There are men's and women's restrooms The workers have been more than nice, and have helped with every question politely. As most places the busiest peak is the weekend. The week days and nights are peaceful.
