Friendly and welcoming staff. Decent breakfast and breakfast timings. Well kept rooms and facilities.
It was our 1st time to stay at this hotel and we loved it. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean we will definitely be back to stay and I highly recommend the hotel and it's in a good location the trolley stops right at the hotel
Comfortable bed. Air-conditioner works. Clean facility. Highlights if breakfast were waffle bar and crispy bacon. Eggs where powdered and sausage patties tasted boiled. Have stated in nicer hotels for cheaper. However, it is comprable with area prices.
Gonna give it 5 stars. Room was nice and clean. Desk personnel were great. Breakfast was your standard Fairfield breakfast. I only wish they had some shredded cheese for the eggs.
Stayed here for a week with my boyfriend and his three kids. Very clean rooms and hotel, very nice staff, great location, great pool setup ( wish the outside one was bigger), fresh cookies in the afternoon, great deals for members, and the beds were better than most hotels. I'd recommend staying here when in the area. It was close to everything we wanted to do in the area.
Great hotel super close to it all. The rooms are super clean and the staff is so sweet! You are right on the edge of Gatlinburg, so a short drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Our biggest tip is if you are going to the National Park, turn right out from the hotel and take your first left for the bypass to the park Saves you a TON of traffic!
Great hotel (nice look, room layout, pool etc) but if you don't like sleeping on a bed that feels like a blow up mattress it's not for you.
Free breakfast is always nice but not when you have to eat in the lounge because there's only about 7 tables.
Great location right at the entrance of Gatlinburg city limits. The outdoor pool area is perfect for smaller children. The indoor pool area is nice and well heated. Hotel rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and courteous. The breakfast that is included with the room has plenty of options and will satisfy all breakfast needs. The only downfall to the breakfast is that the seating area is limited.
I'll start with the positives. The hotel looks fantastic from the outside. It sits in the trees (or at least appears to), the pool looks great, and it's got plenty of parking. The staff checking me in and helping me with information on the hotel were friendly and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff was very friendly when I needed to move around them in the hall when I checked out. The laundry facilities are limited - 1 washer and 1 dryer, but clean, quick, and only $1.25 each.
Now the negatives. The whole hotel is damp. Dampness pervades everything. The carpet in my room was damp, the sheets were damp, everything felt damp. The A/C unit was on "dry" and at 71 degrees, so it ran all night, and I finally fell asleep, but it was like the room was a cold drink set on a patio table on a June day in the Great Smokey Mountains. Which, of course, is exactly what it was. I don't think any of the other rooms would have been different - a cold building and hotel rooms at the end of the rainy season and the beginning of summer in the deep south will do that.
(I should also qualify all this with the fact that I live in Las Vegas where we have single-digit humidity, so it may also be that I'm just not accustomed to how things are in normal parts of the US, but I haven't had this problem at other Marriott brand hotels around The South, so it may just be this property.)
I will only book here again if other properties in the area (to include Knoxville) are unavailable.
Good place to stay for you visit to the smoky mountains. The Manager was generous to upgrade us to a Suite room since we needed a microwave to heat the food for my little one. Neat rooms with a good complimentary breakfast
We were very happy with our stay here. The hotel was nicely decorated and the rooms were clean. All of the staff was very friendly. There was a good variety for breakfast and it was kept stocked well even though there was a large group eating. I called the desk with several questions and each time the clerk was very helpful. It wasn't as close to the shops as we would have liked, but finding parking or taking the trolley worked fine. It also made it peaceful. The only down fall would be that the walls in the room were very thin. We could hear the family next door, it seemed like they were in our room. Luckily they weren't loud. We would stay here again.
