Overall, very clean and a better than average breakfast. Modern look. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. The room did not have carpet, which some may not like, but it was OK because I was at least assured that the floor was ckean. A doormat would have been helpful. Overall a good stay for me. Right on the bike trail and not far from the Smoky Mtn Natl Park.

Hotel is located in a beautiful area of the Smokies away from most of the tourist traffic. Breeakfast was good. Room was clean. Beds were not as comfortable as most other Best Westerns at which I have stayed. Problems with my bill and getting a copy of the corrected receipt left me with a bad impression of this hotel.

Best Western Cades Cove Inn is a well maintained, clean and reasonably priced facility. We appreciated the clean, comfortable room and the full breakfast that was available every morning.

Stay here at your own risk!
On Sunday October 22, 2017, I stayed at the Best Western Cades Cove Inn. After a long day of traveling and spending time in the nearby National Park, I looked forward to soaking in the whirlpool tub. I filled the tub with hot water and tossed in a washcloth. Neither my wife nor I had used any towels or washcloths yet. After a relaxing soak, I reached into the water, pulled out the washcloth to use it for the first time, and wiped my sweaty face. As I was taking the white washcloth away from my face, I noticed numerous brown streaks on that side of the cloth. To my horror, I realized that it was not just old stains that couldn’t be washed out. It was feces streaks, complete with small particles of solid human waste! I had been soaking in swirling water with that soiled washcloth, then wiped my face with it. How disgusting! It grossed me out to think of what had just happened, and very upset that the hotel would make such a mistake--of putting out a soiled washcloth for use by the next hotel guest. It had obviously not been washed in the laundry, as it couldn’t have been so soiled if it had. This lack of proper action is a huge health risk!
Since it was very late at night, and the hotel manager was not on duty, I resolved to talk with the manager in the morning. The rest of the time before I went to bed, I couldn’t keep this incident out of my head. During the night, I awoke several times, and lay awake for a while thinking about it, too. It was not a restful night.
The next morning I requested to talk with the manager, or whomever was in charge. There was nobody there in leadership, so I talked with the desk clerk about the incident. She was genuinely concerned, and said she was sorry that happened. She said the manager wouldn’t come in until the next day, but that the owner would be at the hotel in about 30 minutes. I said I definitely wanted to talk with the owner about the incident to see what he would do about it. When I finished packing and was ready to check out, I checked back with the desk clerk. She said the owner had just arrived. I awaited while she went to talk with him. She returned and told me that the owner said all he could do was to offer a 5% discount (on the bill I had paid when I checked in). This would have amounted to less that $5. I told her that it was unacceptable. I asked for a full refund, and asked to talk with the owner myself. I did not raise my voice, and kept in control of myself even though I was quite upset. I wanted the owner (or a manager) to hear my story and distress first hand. My hope was that he would apologize directly to me, to offer reasonable compensation, and would tell me his plan to assure that this would never happen to any guest again.
The desk clerk (who was doing her best) went to talk with him again. The owner was outside using a string trimmer in the rain. She quickly returned saying the best he could offer was a 10% refund. He did not honor my request to talk with him. He did not apologize, nor send a message of apology. He did not take the time to see me at all. I did not hear any plan for taking care of this health risk. Instead, he offered less than $10 (10%) for my distress and emotional pain.
I did not accept that offer either, as I did not think it was fair or reasonable for the situation. So, I left the Best Western Cades Cove Inn, and do not intend to ever return.

A very quiet place to stay. The breakfast food was good. A paved trail for use by walkers and bikers goes right in front of the facility. I am told that the trail is 8 miles long. There is good water pressure and lots of warm water for showering. Each room is offered a rocker outside of the room in order to help each guest enjoy the scenery.

Great location for a stay in the Smokies. Convenient to Dollywood and other attractions in Gatlinburg. Easy parking and courteous check in & check out.
The breakfast bar was stocked and is available much later than other inns.
It was a unending supply of gravy, biscuits, eggs, sausage links & patties PLUS the other usual food items that are offered at the other places.
The room suited our needs and we will certainly return next year.

There seem to be a lot of nice lodging options in Cades Cove, but the advantage of choosing the Best Western is obviously the brand standard (and loyalty program, if applicable). Those who choose on that basis will not be disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable (if somewhat sparsely furnished) and breakfast was reasonable (breakfast was actually most notable for its terrific view of the mountains).

All rooms have been redone and updated. The floor was a laminate. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. It was obvious that the hotel is older. The door was definitely needing some updating. It didn't close tightly, but the locks worked. The local birds were insanely loud, even at 3 AM. (Obviously not the hotel's fault.) The shower head was extremely low-flow. Great for conservation, but not so much for showering. There was an obvious leak in the ceiling near the shower head. We informed the front desk staff. They were definitely polite and professional. The view and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. Just a short drive to Cade's Cove. We had to leave early to do the bike ride around Cade's Cove, so we missed the breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

The entire hotel had just underwent a total renovation and it really showed. The whole place looked wonderful and clean both inside and out. I couldn't believe how spacious the guest room was. Nice new laminate floor which I like better than hotel room carpet anyways. Parking was easy and close to my room. Had breakfast in the morning and it was well presented. Cereal, waffles, muffins, juice. Plenty to choose from. I would gladly stay here again if I was in the area

Very nice clean place. Loved the fact there was no carpet in the roomsmakes it seem cleaner to me. Bed had a very good mattress. Awaken by alarm clocks going off in empty rooms and another guest's yippy dog. Breakfast was decent for hotel breakfast. Back yard view was peaceful. Nice pool. Would stay here again.

This was a good place to stay for the night. Not many choices in the Townsend area. Rooms looked like they had been renovated recently as most of the furniture looked new. The floors are a hardwood finish. They need to be cleaned as our socks got really dirty after only being there a few hours. Breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, pastries, juices and more.
