Stayed here many times. People are excellent. Rooms clean, nice, and good area.

Room was amazing and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The best part of the stay was the breakfast staff who made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Would recommend to everyone.

I stayed at this hotel back on the Sept. 30th- OCT. the 1st and when I woke up I decided to help out housekeeping by taking the spreads off the bed, and when I took the sheets off I was laying in a big spots of pee all over my bed. When I told them I was laying on pee and wanted to speak to a manger Neel (N.A.P.) told me that a manger was not on duty. When asked if he could call one told me no. Then it was a problem about changing my room so I came back down very upset. They sent head housekeeper up who had an attitude that she had to come look at my bed when I should have been the one with the attitude. Then as I go down stairs I hear head housekeeper talking about me to two other of your housekeepers as I walked by. When I finally got your MG Brittany on the phone she told me that it was chemicals on the bed from housekeeping, but I work at a hotel so I know it was not chemicals it was pee the MG Brittany was very Rudy and unprofessional so was all staff. I would never stay at this hotel again ever in my life. I had payed 150.00+ for my room that night and they never gave me anything back or even said sorry that I slept on pee. Here are some pictures you be the judge of it yourself but If I you I would not stay at this hotel. If i could give you a -0.0 I would. Worst hotel and worst experience in my life. The worst hotel i have ever been too in my life. I never heard of or seen a GM be so disrespectful and so unhelpful in my life. It was very disgusting to know that I was laying my head on pee spots all night and other places on the bed like they never clean or change there beds. NEVER AGAIN WHOLE STAFF NEEDS FIRED EXPECT FOR A FEW. After all this housekeeper lied and said I smoked in the room when me and my husband do not even smoke. We had a friend up that went and smoked a black in mild outside and came back in and sat it on the table, so now they are trying to say we smoked because I was mad about my bed. They also took money off my card NEVER AGAIN. I was very disappointed in Marriott.

Akron + Fairfield = middle class Haven of hoteleritiousness
We called on our way to Pennsylvania (and some homemade pumpkin pie ) "Are you located next to the Interstate Tollway? Yes. The interstate. How close? Right next to it? Good. Yes, we'd like a room for tonight."
Booked.
Fairfield is right next to the Interstate. As in Interstate Street 20+ minutes from the Tollway Interstate 80. I should have known that some civil servant thought to name a street Interstate. But why? It doesn't go between states. Puzzling. But it's not a Tollway street And you'd think the local hotel representative would know that little bit of local trivia. Are you located next to the Interstate Tollway? Was understood to mean Are you on Interstate Street?
I should have been clearer.
Nice hotel. Modern. Wide hallways. Pleasant staff. Clean breakfast area. It lives up to the Fairfield brand. Nice big room. Right next to a TGIFridays on the Interstate Street.
Then there's the pool. Apart from the standard no diving and no life guard on duty, it's about the size of Well, my car would fill it up. No laps here. If you kicked off from one side of the kidney shaped pool you would hit your head on the opposite side after one stroke. But the water's warm.
If you are passing through the southern part of Akron, it's a nice choice. It's also a nice choice if you're on the Interstate 80 Tollway and don't mind going 20+ minutes out of your way.

I stayed here this past weekend (9/29-10/1), and it was wonderful. The staff are all wonderful and nice. The room was spotless. The bed was so comfortable, and I'm picky. The location is great. It's close to food and shopping and attractions, easy access to the highway. Even the free breakfast was really good. All in all, it was a great stay thanks to a great staff. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for an awesome weekend!
Edit: the 20% discount cards they give away at the desk for the TGI Friday's next door is yet another thing that will have me returning to this location. Nothing but good things to say about this Fairfield Inn!response / report this review -

This was my first time ever staying at a Fairfield inn & Suites. If I ever come to Akron again I will stay at this location. Their customer service is stellar. No matter where I went in the hotel every staff member i saw had genuine smiles on their faces and was always helpful. Thank you for making my stay a memorable one.

Nice modern hotel, good overnight stay. Breakfast would have been just another buffett except the staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. There is a chain restaurant a hundred feet away which gave us a the opportunity to get some dinner conveniently.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Room did have a slight smell, like new construction smells, sign says recently renovated. Mattress was a bit firm for my liking. Overall, decent place.

The front desk employee was awesome and accommodating as we asked to switch our room. There was a hot, free breakfast. Our king sized comfortable bed had 4 types of pillows on it: feather, foam, fiber fill, etc The room was spacious, and stocked with a keurig, fridge, TV, lots of outlets, desk. Things were spotless and housekeeping was very nice.

I had a great experience. I booked my room and a week in advance the hotel manager called me specifically to ask if there would be anything else that they could prepare/have ready for when I arrive back from the airport. Also, when I checked in, the gentleman up front gave me a water bottle free of charge for my nights stay. The room was clean and well kept. Everything was impeccable service and staff was really friendly!
