The hotel is located about 10 minutes from downtown Hudson. The rooms are okay, but be sure to book one with a microwave and fridge if that is important to you, it doesn't come standard. The fitness room was not ideal. All the machines I tried were broken with the exception of the bench press.
I travel for work a lot and this was my worst experience ever! The bathroom sink flooded my bathroom three of the 18 days I was there. Minimal housekeeping. Freezer was a chunk of ice so I couldn't put even one tv dinner in it. They continuously overcharged my credit card. I'd finally had enough and checked out but they STILL kept charging my card. I ended up reporting one transaction as fraud because they charged me another night after I had checked out. I cancelled my card so no more charges could take place. Then I had to dispute another charge and wait 7 days for a pending charge to get off my account. I'm currently disputing over $200 of over charging. Since I've cancelled my card they have tried to charge 4 more transactions, each around $200-$400. Fortunately, they were declined because the card is no longer active. Several of my coworkers had jewelry stolen from their rooms. I think everyone had trouble with excessive charges to their credit cards. One woman I work with who was staying there was charged over $2,000 in one week! Another woman had over 40 charges to her card in one day from this hotel! The indoor pool and hot tub looks nice but certainly not worth the headache.
Never will I go backtoo much to be said. .changing owners, totally unorganized old rooms, cold eggs, inadequate breakfast, pool closed,no restaurant available or loungeno reg.coffee in room. Room not clean.. dusty, spiders, old furniture.know one had answers for us total confusion.. . Hope they get it together..it would be a nice place. too bad.
If you like to travel like it's 1978, this is the place for you! The lovely post disco ambiance of this hotel is the cats pajamas. The technology impaired will enjoy the lack of electrical outlets in the rooms. And those with anorexia will enjoy the spacious bathrooms (All others may find them a bit constricting). If you find lids for your morning coffee mundane then you will love their coffee bar. And cap off your stay with a mediocre shower complete with an auto-variable temperature shower. Constant temperature is so overrated.
9/06 to 07, 2017. Very nice accommodations! Enjoyed our visit. Staff very helpful. Plenty of clean, white towels, comfy bed, pet friendly @$10. Excellent hot breakfast. Con: the blackout curtains only cover part of side window with sheers in middle in #112. This looked out to small courtyard & to pool. Lights glared into room until after midnight & back on before 5:30am, we felt we were on display.
This hotel was very interesting. The layout was unique and seemed very large with multiple entrances. It was good for an overnight stay but I probably wouldn't stay any longer. The rooms were fairly cleaned, just dusty. There was dust all along the edges of the room (carpet) and on all light fixtures. Other than dust, it was a decent stay. Breakfast was pretty good, better than most.
The manager Jamie was exceptionally great with suggestions on places of interest, also she made sure our reservation and check in was quick and easy! We will definitely be back!
Friendly and helpful staff, even in the middle of the night. The pool is always clean and open. The reastraunt has amazing food. I love staying here.
We chose the Clarion as a sleepover stop on our way home from a vacation. We reserved the room online the same afternoon with no difficulty and stayed in a king room. The reservation included a free continental breakfast the following morning. At check-in their was a bar/restaurant across from the customer counter. The door to the bar was open and someone was warming up on a guitar and it was outrageously loud. I asked the desk clerk if there were restaurants nearby because I would not be eating at that bar. I do not like head banging music and this was comparable to that. I was assured the music would be silenced but it wasn't as long as we were there. The clerk asked a co-worker to take care of the disturbance. Nothing happened. We went elsewhere to eat but had to travel quite a distance. There are no close eateries in the vicinity of the hotel. That was unfortunate. The venue was very large and well kept. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bfast was very nice.
Lions Convention 13 OH4, was held here. Very nice banquet facilities, food was nice and plentiful. The staff was wonderful!!
The hotel seems like they aren't taking as good of care of it as they could. Public lobby spaces are in good shape, but other shared spaces like the pool are in rough shape.
I visited 6 months ago, and the sauna was closed. On my latest visit to the pool, the sauna was still closed for repairs, along with the rinse shower, and hot tub. Multiple lights were burned out, and the flags hung up were very faded.
The price is reasonable, but I hope it doesn't get any worse.
