Super relaxing for a weekend with the hubby. Staff was amazing, especially the female manager. Her name started with a P I think she gave us great advice on where to go to dinner!
Had an OK experience here. The building seems a bit dated but the check-in process was fast and friendly. We got the breakfast and drinks package but unfortunately because the bar is only open for a very limited number of hours we didn't get to enjoy our drinks. Had the breakfast though which was a choice of one hot or two cold items. Tasted OK but the breakfast service wasn't that friendly. The TV in the room was sort of old and oddly angled so that you had to pull it actively to get a good view on the bed. But I appreciated that they updated the bedside tables to include outlets, which was useful. As you may realize, it's a pretty inconvenient location (which I knew when I booked it) and there's not that much around.
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Love the movable furniture pieces in the room, as I am usually doing some work, and can spread out my stuff. Good price.
The manager of this facility has little to no understanding of customer service let alone quality customer service. His name is David and his arrogent demenor is a sad reflection on Marriott that needs to be corrected post haste. I am a Marriott Platium Elite Member but we booked through our corporate site. He said the booking came from Priceline which apparently was offensive to him. He told me that he could not place this reservation on my account and that my membership didn't matter. I was upset at his angry tone and thought I would challenge him a bit. He became scary and I no longer wanted to stay in a place where he could harm me or my staff. I told him I was going to cancel the reservation and he said, "call priceline" and that he didn't have a problem with that. Regardless of the conflict, I figured we could just move on like professionals. I called our corporate site and found out they actually do use partner sites so to the hotel it would look like Priceline and it wasn't a big deal. They explained that I did need to call the hotel and cancel. When I called the hotel again trying to be professional (maybe 10 minutes later) I asked for David the manager and the assistant manager told me that he had just left. She was nice but I could tell something big had happened. As I explained that I needed to cancel my reservation, she stopped me and said that the manager told the entire staff to not cancel reservations made on Priceline tonight. I asked her if she was telling me that I would lose my prepayment on both rooms if I didn't stay their hotel (where I now felt in danger from this crazy man), she said, "that's right." I hung up the phone and called Marriott's Platinum Customer Service number and they immediately set up a case to investigate this manager. I have stayed at Marriotts all over the country and never have come across a situation even close to this one. Marriott, along with my corporate booking site, made sure I was refunded, regardless of David's plot, but I am concerned what a customer without a little clout would have done. Also, my corporate booking site agent told me the next day that, when she tried to call the hotel directly, the employees told her they were instructed, by David the manager, to not even take calls from PriceLine. She had to call Marriott corporate to even get them to act professionally. Amazingly stupid! This guy was so arrogant and angry, I don't know how far he would be willing to go if he believes someone has crossed him. Until Marriott places a manager with proper training and respect for customers in this hotel, don't stay there!
Nicest hotel we stayed in on our trip. Clean and modern. The rooms had a huge desk and USB charging ports in the wall. The fitness area has a pool, cardio machines, and a small set of dumbbells.
We arrived at the hotel a few hours prior to check in. I had use the restroom badly and explained such to the concierge. She directed me to the restroom and was extremely pleasant. When we came back hours later, I had changed my clothes and she still remembered me. Throughout our stay, I had random obscure requests (larger glasses, extra ice.. etcetera) as well as some silly questions that were answered with smiles and kindness. All staff was fantastic and accommodating. I did not utilize the gym/pool facilities but they appeared to be up to par and I noted quite a few people using both. Also, I loved the pillows :)
The place was clean and the staff was friendly. We had no problems during our stay. The hot tub and the pool are small but nice. No complimentary breakfast or coffee is a bit of a disappointment.
Clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Appreciated having a room with two queen-size beds instead of the usual smaller double beds. Pool is small but the whirlpool was perfect after a long day on our feet! Would definitely return to this hotel.
Me and my man came here for a night we ordered wings from the bar area and omg they were amazing in my book. Better then wing stop lol very relaxing and the rooms were just perfect and the front desk was so awesome and so nice definitely be staying here again when we come in this city.
Front desk was super friendly and helpful. The lobby area and room were both clean and had that modern feel to them. It was close to the highway and easy to get in and out of.
Pretty standard hotel. Clean and comfortable. Room lighting leaves a lot to be desired, but that's the only thing not up to par. Definitely worth it on the Hyland Rate.
This place shut the water down during our stay. Literally completely shut the water off. We were in town for my grandmothers funeral and had to scatter to various local residences to shower and get ready. When discussing the issue with Management and Corporate, they offered zero compensation or solace. Will never find me in another Marriott. Ever.
The hotel rooms were very clean, staff was helpful. The suite we were in had a pullout single couch as well as the two double beds! Plenty of space for our large family. In addition we connected to the room next to us, seems hotels these days are doing away with those sadly.
