All they have to do is to reset & make check engine light disappeared temporarily & will come back on after you drive down the road. Their favorite made up repair is harness which will run you $2000.

2015 Cascadia blew engine due to oil pan failure issues. After waiting a week we were told they would get a mechanic on it. After three more days while paying hotel and layover cost we were told they had someone on it, On 7/3 were told truck was fixed . They replaced turbo due to oil starvation. Said all bearings were not damaged. Picked up truck. Drove approximately one block { 16 minutes } the engine locked down due to oil starvation. After waiting another two weeks it was determined the engine had to be replaced. Back to the end of the wait line again. Approximately two weeks later new engine arrives. at that time we were told we had to wait for other ongoing jobs to be finished even though my truck had entered their shop over a month earlier.
For the past twelve days they have told us they were changing over parts and fittings to the new engine. Same old story. Today .8/4 Excel Truck Group has had my truck for 49 day to repair a warrantable issue with no idea on when they will get around to getting it running and will not answer my calls or return my messages. I own 12 Freightliner road tractors ranging from 2014 to 2016 year models. I have had four tractors in various Freightliners dealerships at the same time ranging from five months to ten days as of yesterday waiting for parts. Excel was the worse after engine and parts did arrive.. Were told by Excel yesterday it might be ready next Friday. Today, 8/4 no one will answer the phone. Nor will they answer my messages. Tomorrow is 50 DAYS Excel. You will NEVER touch any of my trucks again! I have bought many Freightliner trucks since 2009. FREIGHTLINERYOU JUST LOST A CUSTOMER due to not having parts availability and sloppy work at Roanoke VA, Beckley WV , Bismarck ND, and my local dealership in Ringgold GA . If 0 stars were possible I would not give any.
Farewell
Our RV broke down and we crawled into Excel at 7am. The Service advisor had to leave and was replaced by someone with limited experience. However, although we waited 8 hours to be seen, our tech diagnosed our problem quickly. The shop foreman kept in contact with us daily and explained the work needed clearly.
Don't be in a hurry if you go there. The techs only work until 4pm and they're closed on weekends.
Although it took longer than we had hoped, the RV ran like a top when we got it back.
I would use them again if the need arose.
Worked with Aaron Backus with used trucks. Best used truck manager in the country.
I love it the company and how they run the place
Service was slower and more expensive (at flat rate of $115/hr) than I expected for Class C RV work. Maybe medium truck repairs and maintenance are always 50-70% more expensive than comparable passenger vehicle repairs (at $70/hr). I'll assume that maybe the slowness of the service was because they were short-staffed. The search for a good RV mechanic continues
I work for crete carrier corporation and as a driver I understand how stressful it is to have a truck in the shop. I checked my truck in at this location and spoke with Mark the service manager in the heavy duty truck department . I am amazed at his knowledgeable response to my questions having to do with the problems I am having with my truck. As I write this review, my truck is still in the shop and am at a hotel. I just got off the phone with Mark and he assured me that they got the parts for my truck and mechanic was in the process of completing the necessary repairs. I also had an awesome experience with the mechanic working last night. Very nice and professional guy who took the time to explain my truck problems and what needs to be done to get me rolling. Those two guys provide me with excellent customer service. Excel must recognize them both for representing the company in a very positive way. Thanks guys.
Came out Christmas night to get me rolling again an and took care of everything very quickly
Mark and Todd at Excel really work hard to get you in the shop, diagnosed and repaired in the smallest amount of time. There's no song and dance here. Just quality expeditious service. SDR Enterprises is grateful for such courtesy and professionalism.
