Loved the stay here. Very nice lobby and room with a comfortable king bed as well as the best sofa bed I've ever used in a hotel. Only complaint is the power outlet situation. In a time when everyone has a million devices to charge, there did not seem to be enough outlets. And the outlets that do exist were not in convenient locations.
Spacious room and a quiet night. Couple of odd design items like how the shower door opened which covered where the towels hang. Very attractive property, near shopping and some restaurants. Good breakfast choices at the hotel. Has parking garage with good space and headroom. Writing this review as I am booking my next stay there. My coworkers also pick this hotel when in the area. For sure a solid choice and I am sure you will not be disappointed.
I've been traveling to LA a couple weeks a month for work for about half a year. I really like this hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms and general areas are always cleaned and well maintained. Gym is decent. It also has a pool and a hot tube out side which is kinda neat. I really like the complimentary happy hour ever night from 530 to 730 and from what I have heard, from coworkers, it is one of the best embassy suites happy hours in LA. I also really like the room. When you are on the road for 2 weeks it is really great to have a couple rooms and a couch instead of just 2/1 beds. It is a little more pricey but I think it is worth the price.
Only con is that it is kinda far away from most things. Which is annoying in LA traffic.
Final piece of advice. If you like to have 2 queens forgo that at this hotel. The double rooms do not have window facing the outdoors just the Courtyard.
Nice enough stay for a few nights. Nothing particularly stood out as excellent but I have no real complaints. The breakfast was good and the managers reception is about the same as all other embassy suites, certainly appreciated. There’s a nice little quiet work spot on 12 across from the elevators. My bathroom vent from 7-9am was incredibly loud, guessing it’s a backup alarm clock for us late sleepers.
I attended a professional event here and did not stay overnight, if you're looking for a review of the room this is not it. The lobby and open areas were kept very clean. The furnishings are simple but functional. The food was box lunches and honestly pathetic, like on par with something you would purchase at a gas station. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here and blame it on the company who put together the event ordering off the super ultra value menu. Whether that's true, I doubt know. I was very impressed with the staff though, this is the reason this place gets a 4 star and not a 3. They were helpful, knowledgeable, and most importantly, present.
My husband has an office in Glendale and we spend about half our time here. We have always stayed here and have always enjoyed the hotel and the staff until now. When trying to modify a reservation for our next visit. Our reservation was for Monday-Thursday and we needed it for Tuesday-Friday. I did have a separate reservation for Thursday night because my husband mentioned he thought there was a chance we wouldn't fly out until Friday. When we found out we couldn't come in until Tuesday I called and tried to cancel Monday night the Friday before. They would not allow me to cancel Monday night without a $40 rate hike per night for the rest of the nights. Both my husband and I spoke with the hotel directly and Hilton and to multiple people and supervisors and were given various reasons but the end result was we could not cancel one night without being charged more per night for our stay. Since I had never canceled our reservation this made no sense and we have canceled a night at the end of our stay without any repercussions at this hotel and other hilton properties. This is customer service at its worst!!
Before I start, my wife and I are partial to the Embassy Suites. We have never come across one we didn't like. This one is no exception, service was great, the Happy hour rocks (free booze), the breakfast is great. For this particular stay this was one of the best nightly rates and we got all of that! Rooms are very nice, we had a 2 room suite. The only 2 things I wouldn't rave about, no bathtub in King Bed suites (shower only) and the bed was shockingly soft.
2 rooms suite with King bed and sofa sleeper. Accommodated 3 adults, 1 kid and a toddler in crib just fine. Room was clean. Great breakfast. Would stay there again. Rate competitive to area. Short drive to Universal Studios Hollywood
Enjoyed our stay so far, the free breakfasts are well worth checking out as they have great omelettes and scrambled eggs. The evening manager's reception is also nice if you happen to be around during that time. Local area is mainly businesses. There is a restaurant across the street but the in hotel restaurant is probably the better option and is open later. The gas station is better than the convenience store in the lobby for prices. The lobby has a great atmosphere and the rooms are nice.
Embassy is easy to get to, just off the 134 freeway and is just a mile from the Glendale Galleria, so plenty to do in the surrounding area. The room and hotel grounds were pretty clean. The pool is postage stamp sized and the jacuzzi smelled, I don't know if it was a mineral bath or just the smell of previous people. The gentleman at the front desk was courteous, but VERY quiet and could have provided information a little clearer. A decent place to stay but don't expect it to wow you.
Great place to stay, large clean rooms, very clean inside & out. Friendly staff very willing to assist you as best they can.
Hot breakfast with made to order omelets & large buffet. Managers reception in the afternoon, (free drinks & appetizers).
Ample secure paid garage parking.
Our stay was very comfortable. The room was a great size and clean. Breakfast was delicious - the omelettes and potatoes were very flavorful. The gym was well equipped and had an updated feel to it. We had to pay for parking each night, but most hotels do that here so it really isn't a drawback. There was ample parking each night we stayed. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely return if we came back to the area.
The rooms were moderately clean. We got complimentary bottled water which was nice considering how other hotels have water that has to be bought. The walls between the bedroom and the living room seem to be very thin because even at a low level, the TV is easily heard. The front desk and other employees were very kind and were able to assist whenever. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal with different types of food for everyone. I genuinly enjoyed my stay.
This hotel is in a great location if you go sightseeing in the Los Angeles area. Embassy Suites is one of the best hotels you can ever stay without breaking your bank. Good afternoon snacks and drinks and a great breakfast buffet. Slept like a baby on their comfortable beds. They will provide you extra amenities whenever you ask!
