Amazing vintage theater with extremely low prices and friendly staff! Recently renovated with luxurious chairs. ER Cinema also has the best popcorn and soda in the region.

This theater was built in 1940. It is extremely well preserved in the Art Deco style. It has a very nice angle to the seating. Not as severe as stadium seating in modern theatets but impressive for it's age. The seats are very comfortable and more impressive is there is plenty of leg room. The sound and picture are perfect. The concessions are very old school but acceptable. Sodas are the Traverse City Pop Company, can't remember their name. The only real downside is the bathrooms are up some very narrow stairs.

Overall to me this was a 5 star experience. Will I return. Yes, I love this theater.

Funky fun in a classic theater, but updated seating, friendly and low priced popcorn and concessions make it a community favorite. Only the best films, over one month from original release make it a good night every time
Changes shows weekly. Local eateries and music options allow for gathering before or after.

This is a great local movie theater that shows first-run movies and has matinees. It is clean and comfortable and very vintage with its ticket booth and candy counter. The owner Joe is a friendly character.

They often have special showings of older movies in the summer. It's a great place to visit if weather discourages you from being outside.

We have gone to this cinema for 50 years (love watching the remodeling over the years) and it is charming and gets top-rated movies. Joe, the owner, is so involved in the community - everyone knows and loves him and he employs local high school kids to run concessions or whatever other jobs are needed. It's not just the movie, it's a beautiful example of a small town business success. You won't regret going and the prices are fantastic!
