I usually stay here. Good value. Obviously not a Hyatt, but it's clean. Nice, & a good value.

From the outside the place isn't that bad but inside the rooms they were poorly kept up. The floors weren't clean and the furniture is rundown old. The sofa was old and dirty not something you would want to sit on. I have two little kids and O was nkt comfortable with them playing and touching things inside the room because of how bad it was. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, this place is a dump!

Clean. Very friendly front desk. Great parking. Noisy. A heavy metal rock band played next door till midnight or one. Every time someone starts a car, locks a car, moves a car it is in your room. Street noise isn't bad Depending on your room location. Most are good that way, but not all.

A fine spot during a high school regatta event. Close to the venue at the pier. Cool family style Italian restaurant across the street.

Pricing was similar to other hotels in the area. They did not have a pack n play or crib, which I've never encountered at a hotel. Additionally, breakfast was Continental, but I've had better. Service was not bad, but they seemed quite indifferent. This trip has just been "ok". Rooms comfy. Pool cold.

Great price, clean rooms, indoor heated pool was great for the kids since it was cold outside.
Wall thermostat didn't work and the shower never got super hot. Breakfast was mediocre but for the price, this place is a steal and I would definitely come back.

Location is convenient, parking is not great, fills up quick. Sheet had blood spots on it, but they changed out right away and we're respectful of privacy. Overall, good place to stay. Would stay here again.

Our family loves staying at El Castell motel, it's clean, close to many stores and especially close to the freeway. The rooms are spacious and staff is on top of anything you need. Breakfast is included in your stay as well, we love staying here when we visit Monterey.

Nice private room, clean bed, and great coffee. My only complaint, is the water temperature in the shower was quite cool, however, after my amazing there, that's exactly what I needed. :)
