The only nice part of the hotel is the location. Situated within 10-minute walk of Galante Vineyards and Carmel Beach.
The hotel itself need some improvements. Bathroom, flooring, bottom of the tub, and sink area. and shutter in the room were cracked and old. There are many stairs till you reach your room. Lot of stairs and NO elevator. We had 4 big suitcases. When we saw these stairs, we asked the reception if there any easy way to get our suitcases up to the room without using these stairs. Her answer was "no! Only way to the room is by these stairs. You can request a porter to help you!"
Later on I found out myself, There is a side walk up to the reception instead of using the stairs from the main entrance. In the room. No safety box, no shower cap, no hair conditioning, no skin lotion, no cotton balls. no hair dryer. But they do offer 2 bottles of water!
Don't understand why I read many had said the breakfast was good? Coffe was undrinkable. I ask if they have chocolate milk instead. Replied was yes, go to the other side of the room and pay for it. Scramble eggs were all cold. Pastry were all cut up in small pieces. Breakfast suppose to close at 10am. At 9h30 the waiter cleaned up all the coffe, tea, and juice. By 9h40 the rest of the food started to be removed. On the breakfast coupon said "Gratuity is not included in your breakfast". Service is supposed to be provided by the hotel. How can anyone expect Gratuity when their duties were not even accomplished.

The hotel is gorgeous 18th centruy style decor, mostly red and mahogany colors. The restaurant is old world fancy Italian and abosluelty delicious! I have yet to stay in a room, but definitely want to!

The food was good the ambiance was amazing. The service was ok, but we had a large party and it's hard to cook for a lot people.

Is a nice place with big rooms, but room number three, where we stayed, was terrible. It was seven feet from the door of the restaurant, outside of which folks smoked each night, marinating or kids in second hand stink. The wedding dj's speakers pointed directly toward our door the second night. The pillows smelled as if they were briefly buried in wet sand.

Visited the Pine Inn for a small, intimate wedding with dinner and drinks after. Nice view of the ocean and the service was very attentive. Enjoyed the whole evening

We spent New Year's weekend at the Pine Inn. We had a lovely room and were treated to a festive and joyful experience. All the staff were friendly and in good holiday spirits. The Inn was very festive for the holidays. The bed was very comfortable and the temperature inthe room was perfect.

This quaint hotel is the perfect Get Away. It is close to the water and right down town for walking to shops. It does not have an elevator, so pack light to carry upstairs. The Pine Inn has all the amenities you need. I highly recommend.
