I purchased a Giant Escape 1 Disc from Durst Cycle and Fitness about a month back and I really had a wonderful buying experience at this store. These guys have tons of bikes on display at reasonable prices. They let me try out 3-4 different bikes before I settled with the Giant. No pressure from the sales guys. They took the time to make sure the Giant was the right fit and feel for me personally. They listened to all of my questions. I will shop again at Durst. I highly recommend checking this store out. A+++!!! Thanks guys!

Durst Cycle left a lasting impression on me. I have a classic Schwinn that needed its right pedal replaced because I had sheared it off where the pedal met the crank arm. I needed a tool I didn't have to get the pedal off, so I walked the bike in directly. The people dealing with me told me that "nobody" could replace just the pedals and that I needed to replace not just the pedal, or even the pedal and the crank arm, but the main gear assembly as well! This is obviously not true, and when I tried to discuss it with them, the staff actually mocked me - as in "repeat the customer's words in a mocking tone" mockery - and told me I had no choice but to do what they said. These 20-something nitwits believed they had the customer over the barrel and made no attempt to hide their contempt.

I left and never came back, and found another place that took care of the sheared pedal problem free of charge in exchange for me buying pedals from them. You know - like a reasonable business.
