I ordered a Cuban sandwich (Wednesday lunch special). It was unlike any Cuban sandwich I've ever had, with a distinct barbecue flavor. I also ordered a cornbread muffin, with the welcome surprise of barbecue bits. Lunch service was quick.

Great barbecue food. Large beer selection. Really cool building situated in an old train station. Bit pricey though

Great hospitality, our server, Serena, was more than polite; she was very informative, and humorous, with an extensive knowledge of the menu items, elaborating on the vast amount of menu choices. The atmosphere was exquisite, especially the metal platters that the food was served on tied that gave the atmosphere a more rustic look. The food was reasonably priced for it’s quality and there was a large array of interesting menu items.

This place rocks. Great atmosphere, good beers, and the food is amazing. Highly recommend burnt ends but you can't really go wrong with anything you order.

Great place to stop in even if you are just passing through. Friendly staff and fast service. The house made BBQ sauces are fantastic! Try the chips and salsa, better than what you might expect.

We had dinner there to celebrate my granddaughter's 22nd birthday. The atmosphere was nice, the food was fantastic, and it was an all around fun evening for us!

Great specials. Tons of great beers. Sauce is boss. Limited seating, so plan for a wait most days

Best in town. Excellent service. Creative and amazing menu. Awesome Carolina style slaw (a rare find without mayo!).

I have been a fan of Black Dog since it first opened and one had to wait an hour just to get a dinner there. Now that the second location has opened up and I work a block away from it I get to eat there a lot more frequently and with much shorter waits. But if anything that has only caused me to visit more often. Their burnt ends are, of course, to die for. And their ribs are nothing short of great. The brisket ranges from good to outstanding. I am completely unable to resist the Wednesday lunch special Cuban sandwich. The combination of pulled pork, special mayo, house-made pickles, and panini-pressed bread makes it a killer combo. They also have a very respectable selection of craft beer on tap and in bottles.

Always good food but a little expensive to eat there. The sauces are good and the flight of sauces is a good value. The drinks are good, probably too good and that would be why the tab grows. Everybody loves to eat here so it gets busy but I have not been since the Champaign restaurant opened.

My daughter and I popped in after reading 5 star reviews on yelp. We both had the burnt ends sandwich with fries. We really enjoyed their house made bbq sauce called Texas Sauce. I enjoyed their regular coleslaw, I believe I tasted radish which gave it a nice twang. It was a small bar with limited seating. I wish our waitress was more tentative towards us. It was annoying but not enough to take a star away. I'm telling you the food was outstanding

My go to restaurant in the area! The food is always spectacular! They do have fairly limited seating but a pretty high turnover rate. They have a lot of specialty items that the locals know well and grab up as soon as they are made. That being said they always have a few staples, my personal favorite is the pulled pork sandwich and the coleslaw. Usually I don't like coleslaw but theirs isn't as heavy and most of them and has a nice sweat and bitter mix. Always great customer service!
