The DoubleTree hotel is in a wonderful location, with easy access to surrounding malls and businesses, however there small parking lot leaves a little to be desired, especially in the cold months. The inside lobby and amenities are all beautiful, and up to date, and the furniture in the rooms look new, but the room stilling (wallpaper, shower head, and heating/cooling fan) seems dated. The bathrooms are remodeled, the beds are soft, and there's a restaurant in the adjacent building so you can't want for much more.

Loved the hotel! It was clean, comfortable and the employees were great. THE COOKIES, however, were amazing. That was truly the best part of staying at the hotel. They gave us cookies when we arrived and when we were leaving. I ate mine and the ones they gave the rest of my family.

I'm not a picky person and this hotel was just fine. The location works well for me. There isn't a lot of heavy traffic in the area. Quick access to shopping if all sorts, including a mall. Friendly staff. Room was clean.

Rooms are clean and service wonderful. They have a shuttle to the train station so we stay here to avoid the high prices and parking fees I'm Chicago.almost half the price of sister hotels in the city. Convenient to shopping and restaurants.

The location of the Doubketree was ideal for me as I was needing to to get the airport the following morning. The beds were comfortable, however the pillows, as seems to be standard with hotels, become flatter than pancakes within seconds of testing your head on them. The room service was great and super quick - great selections to choose from. The service was also decent - can't go beyond that as other than the chap that checked me in I didn't interact much with the staff.

Quick check in, waited no more than 10 minutes. Very accommodating staff. Room was a double, what we asked for. Everything in the room worked. Maids could be a smidge more thorough. Over all, pretty good.

Nice place to stay! Didn't have a king room our first night there so they said to call down to desk the next day and they would get us our king room. We planned to be gone all day so called the desk first thing the next morning and asked of it would be possible to change rooms since we wouldn't be here at check out time. She said no problem we have a king room available right now. Soon there was a knock on our door, front desk had brought us our new room key and even asked if we needed help moving! So really nice people! The downside was the tub didn't drain very well and our first room was too hot and our second room was just about too cold and we like it really really cold when we sleep so not sure what was up with that. You can change the fan speed in your room and not your temp just like others have said. All in all it was a place we looked forward to come back to at the end of the day.

Great service. Beautiful inside. Free WiFi. Close to the mall and friendly, beautiful neighborhood. Close the the lake. Easy to get around. Not far from Chicago. Good rail system. Restaurant had breakfast buffet, good food and great bar area. Lots of liquor and food options to choose from. Chicken Marsala was excellent! Clean rooms. Small bathroom. Great working space. Looked like adequate conference area. Very professional atmosphere. I feel safe and supported by staff and the accommodations.

Quite comfortable and reasonably priced. The location right across from the mall is great and convenient if you forgot a shirt or something. Good restaurant attached, but it closes at 11 and there's no late night option to get a drink and sit with people other than the lobby. Maybe more a limitation by Skokie than the hotel per se.

I attended an event at the Monaco Room. The room is beautiful and the views are stunning. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The banquet food, on the other hand, needs A LOT of work. The proteins were dry and lacking flavor and the mashed potatoes were most likely rehydrated potato flakes.

Stayed for two nights for a weekend trip to Chicago. Location is great if the idea is to find something outside the city with good access to downtown. Highways get busy quick but without traffic, it's 20-30 mins drive. Rooms themselves were fine. Some signs of disrepair but nothing that affects comfort of room. Beds were ok but not great. TV was standard. We got a package that included breakfast and food was good. Had to call for a few things and staff was always responsive and prompt.

HVAC system has to come into this century. It has an old system that has to switch from heating to cooling with the season as opposed to heating or cooling on demand. I haven't seen an old system like this since military days. Nice property otherwise but your rest may be effected. I was there on a warm spring day with no AC available so was uncomfortable sleeping.

This hotel is great! Have stayed here a few times for work trips. Rooms have always been clean , staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection is varied and well made. The location is great too. Kiddy corner to the hotel is Old Orchard shopping center, which has a wide variety of shops and restaurants. In nicer weather it is great to walk around this area. Highly recommended
