This is a fun, unique hotel to visit when in the Dodgeville area. My kids loved the plane out front and you can't miss the place. The motif is dark and sort of dated, but the location is clean for the most part. We did have a hard time finding clean towels in the pool area but it was nice to be able to swim until 11pm which is later than most pools are typically open. If you're looking for a non-traditional place to stay this is the place! Great value for the room we stayed in too. Continental breakfast was well stocked. We went to the house on the rock the next morning and it was a lot of fun! Our kids loved it!

This place is a good time for a small family trip. It's not a contemporary wonder of new style, but it's got a fun rustic laid back vibe. There's a ping pong table, pool table, and foosball table for after swimming. Some other games too. Food and gas stations are close. In the morning, there are waffles, bagels, muffins, and hot coffee and juice to start the day. There is a retired plane in front to go inside and check out, but it could use a good scrubbing. The beds should probably be replaced, but maybe we got an older roomthwy weren't terrible, but not greatits with in 20/30 minutes to dodge state park, cave of the mound, and house on the rock. Go! Rent directly from their website for the best deal.

Stayed in cupids corner, so beautiful. So many cool little details. And the pool on the ground floor is the perfect temp and really nice. Met some very nice people here too. 10/10 am going back.

The Sherwood forest room was really cute and comfortable. The hotel employees were so nice! The gigantic fire pit in the lobby with all the barber chairs around it was awesome! We will go back!

Stayed here while on a motorcycling trip through SW Wisconsin. We stayed in one of the original "themed suites", "Maggie's Place - A King Sized bed, pink and white decor with contrasting red heart shaped hydrotherapy tub." Room had a heart shaped tub. Kitschy romantic I guess.

This hotel is definitely a grand old throwback and it somewhat shows. It is a unique one-off and definitely worth the stop if you're already coming through the area.

A unique throwback gem to much weirder times. If you are into luxury, probably not for you. If you are into unique one-of-a-kind hotel experiences, then go there. On top of that, very clean room, and very comfy bed.

The building is not updated, but it is clean. We stayed one night in the Tranquility Suite. The front desk staff was friendly, the pool was warm and our whirlpool was clean. They have a game room but the pool table was so broken you can't really play. Breakfast is mediocre- mostly carbs. Would stay again for the unique experience if in the area.

Rustic and unique, this is a really good quality hotel with helpful staff and a few unusual features.

I checked in late at night and was pleased that there was a 24 hour check-in. Although I was on my own, they didn't pull that hotel trick of charging me double for that.

They have flat screen television with cable service and full continental breakfast. A real aeroplane in the grounds is worth a visit.

A couple of odd things. There was no light fitting in the ceiling and the light came from table and wall lamps round the room. This made it very dark. There was no bath plug so I asked for one at the front office. Neither thing spoiled my stay, but they were odd!

Awesome experience. Such a fantastic fantasy get away. The suites are a bit cheesy but that's the thing that makes them great. Loved it. Will be going back again.

Cozy quirky motel with vintage fantasy suite appeal. Close to several popular Wisconsin attractions, which was our draw. Lobby, room and pool were clean and neat. Staff was very friendly. Great place for a romantic little getaway.

Don q inn, is in the middle of nowhere.a few miles from the crazy House on the Rock. The parking lot and outside of the building have seen better days. Upon arrival, you enter a big room, with a giant fireplace surrounded by old barber and dental chairs. The staff was very nice and directed us to our room. We stayed in one of the fantasy suites. The stairs were steep and the hallway was creepy, as I kept waiting for the flood of blood to rush down the hallway, a la 'the shining'. The room we stayed in was space themed. The bed was inside of a raised spaceship, and below was a giant hot tub that filled up via waterfall. Neat rock decor.. Felt like we were on the moon. I loved the allure of the theme rooms and wish more hotels would follow suit. The downside: this place was built in the 80s and hasnt been kept up very well. The rooms could use some remodeling and upkeeppeeling wallpaper, old carpet, old chairs, old tv/vcr combo, etc. The room is two stories tall and the air flow was poor The a/c unit had trouble keeping up, making the inside of the spaceship (where the bed is) very warm. Also, our mini-fridge was broken. Over all, i still loved the place and would stay there again, but the price ($180) was pretty steep for the quality you get. You are definitely paying for novelty. Also, note that there is no longer a lounge or restaurant on premises, due to a fire in early 2017.

Get one of the weird theme rooms. The place hasn't had a serious renovation since the 80s, but it's alright, especially with a giant jacuzzi and a hot air balloon in your room. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the place is meticulously maintained.
