What a beautiful hotel! I absolutely loved the different themed parts of the hotel. We stayed in the Cars section but spent an evening exploring the other areas. Tons of places to take pictures. The lobby of the hotel is huge. The food selections offer a huge variety and satisfy even the picky eaters. My only complaint would be if you go to the parks the bus pick up is like the farthest away, so be sure you don't get over tired in the park because it is a hike to the bus.

Love this place, I'm a huge lion king fan and the lion king theme was great. The atmosphere was very nice too, there was different music suited for each of the area (for example: in the lion king area they played Africa by Toto, Jungle love by Steve Miller Band, and other Africa theme songs and also songs from the movie itself). As for the rooms they were great also and the cleaning staff did a great job cleaning the room while we were gone. So over all 10/10 , next time I come to Disney I will definitely be staying here!

The staff are Amazing and very accommodating!! I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this resort! A few nights into our stay my husband & I had back issues and not sleeping due to the mattress. We called the front desk & the staff brought us up to our room a brand new mattress wrapped in plastic! Wonderful! The last day there our 2 year old got sick & our check out was at 11am but we did not have a bus ride to the airport until 4pm. I called the front desk & they allowed us stay in our room until 4pm at no charge! This was our 1st time staying at this resort as well as our 1st time in Disney World! We had an amazing experience and time! Thank you Art of Animation for being so kind to our family! We will see you again soon!

Amazing place! Very well organized. In general, staff was very nice. Would definitely visit again. The one and only thing I'd say they need to do better is they need to periodically clean the carpet in the room. There were no visible stains but there was a distinct smell coming from the carpets which was a mix sweaty B.O. and dirty feet and we noticed it from the moment we walked in the room. But we had been traveling all morning and at Animal Kingdom all day so just wanted to sleep when we finally checked in late at night. We didn't spend much time in the room besides sleeping during our stay so wasn't a deal breaker for us. If it wasn't for that I'd give 5 stars.

We stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms and absolutely loved it! Art of Animation was by far the best value resort we have stayed at and I would argue is better than most Moderates as well. Things were close enough together to be convenient without it feeling cluttered. I plan on staying again. The rooms were very roomy for value and the service was amazing. Mouse keeping was great as well.

Where do I begin? The resort looks nice in photos and from the outside, but despite this being the newest Disney hotel, the Little Mermaid standard rooms look and feel almost as old as the All-Star resorts that are a good 20 years older. The bed was way too firm. The thermostat was fickle (74 degrees was too cold for me, but bumping the air up to 75 actually turned on the heat and there's no way to tell it to blow hot or cold air). You can hear absolutely EVERYTHING. Don't even think about trying to sleep past 6 a.m. because as soon as that time rolls around you'll be woken up by the sounds of flushing toilets, running showers, the stomping feet and yelling of excited or fussy children, lawn mowers, weedeaters, leaf blowers, and pressure washing trucks and other heavy equipment.

The bus service is horrendous. Not only is the bus stop at the resort a good half a mile from the Little Mermaid buildings, but the pickup bays at Disney Springs and the parks are the farthest away from the entrance. You'll also end up waiting a good half hour for a single bus to pick you up to take you back to the resort while you watch as at least three buses from every other hotel come and go. And if someone is wheelchair bound, expect to add another 15 minutes for the bus driver to load that single person before letting anyone else board. And then wait another 30 minutes for the next bus.

Then there was housekeepingI had hung up a jacket on one of the pegs in my room before I left for the parks my first day staying there. When I returned, my jacket had been thrown into the bed. My bag had been opened while I was out of the room the next day. And the third day, I left a portable power supply charging while I was at the parks. I came back to find that my charging cable had magically acquired an iPhone adapter and had been plugged back into the power supply in an attempt to make it look like it hadn't been tampered with. Too bad for that genius I don't own a single Apple product and therefore have no need for an adapter. I reported that to management and was refunded the cost of one night's stay, but whether anything will actually be done about reminding housekeeping employees to be respectful toward guests' property remains to be seen. I expect better from Disney at this point. Now I don't know whether I can trust any of the housekeeping crew at any Disney hotel and Will probably keep a Do Not Disturb sign (which my room didn't have) hanging my entire stay.

Overall it was a bad experience and I won't be returning. Next time I'll just pay a little more to stay in a better hotel.

We just checked out. The resort was very colorful and a joy to look at and experience. The grounds were immaculate and had larger than life statues of Cars, Lion King and Little Mermaid characters. The food court was very good. We loved the arcade and the pools. The lobby always smells like candy. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a Little Mermaid Room. The cons were the resort is massive and it was a very long walk to and from the restaurant/buses/big pool and our room. When you’re exhausted and hurting at the end of the day that was unpleasant every night. The Art Of Animation also had the furthest walk to the bus depots back at every park. The bus transits to and from the parks and having to make double and triple transfers to the water parks were the worst part of the trip. I’d much rather rent a car next trip and stay at a moderate resort than a value one. Your first trip is a learning experience. The Art Of Animation experience was great including great staff.

We stayed in the little mermaid rooms. It was fun and nostalgic. They were lovely but a very, VERY long walk to the buses, check in and everything. After walking all day at the parks, its late, you're tired, your feet hurt and everything aches and you just want to go to bed. You really don't want to walk a half mile to your room. Also, as soon as you get a room number, make sure it's what you asked for. My sister and I were put in a king bed room when we asked for a double. We called the front desk as soon as we realized but they were no help at all. Good thing we like each other because we had to sleep in the same bed.

I love this hotel! I'll explain the reason for the 3 star review shortly. This is pretty new so it is a very nice resort. Pool locations are great, and the food is good. Rooms are good enough for sleeping but don't expect room for much else.. but that is understandable for the price. The 2 bed suite (not the family suite) is in the back of the resort so expect a decent walk after getting off the bus from the park. Not too fun. If they converted some rooms closer to the front desk building, I'd consider this a 5 star location for the price. But with only 2 people traveling, the more expensive suite is a waste.

Very nice people at the desk we got here way early just because we wanted to be ahead of the hurricane and the rain got here just as it started raining. They put us in a room immediately. Not bad her being just 7:30 in the morning. Rooms are very cute mermaid theme. For an emergency room it's excellent restaurants are open. People very pleasant. Only thing I miss is a no coffee maker

I very much enjoyed my stay here. We were in the Little Mermaid rooms and the walk is a little long but nothing you can't manage. The pools are very nice and will maintained. Our room was cleaned each day and the housekeeper did a great job. Walls are a little too but other guests weren't too loud.

I absolutely LOVE this resort!!! The standard little mermaid rooms turned out perfect for our family of four. All we did was sleep in them and use the bathroom. Otherwise we were at the parks or swimming in the wonderful and very clean mermaid pool right outside our room. The food court had an excellent variety of food and drink. The buses take you directly to the parks without any stops in between. I would highly recommend this resort as the best budget friendly option.

We stayed in the Lion King suites and love them. This is one of our favorite resorts for when we go with extended family because it has multiple rooms. Having a separate bedroom and two full baths is a major plus. The cast members are very nice and are almost like family because we go so often for medical reasons. Everyone is so nice to my nephew who is special needs. We can't wait to go back. Definitely a must for him. With the Pop Century resort just a walk across the bridge it really opens up dining opinions.

The room was clean and worked for what we wanted. The people working there were very nice and helpful. The pools were well watch by very well trained lifeguard. Food at the food court could use some flavor. Closer smoking areas would have been nice over 100 yards away from room. I would be glad to return for another stay.

My family and I stayed in the Lion King Family Suite. It was a little smaller than we had anticipated, but it was a very nice suite and we had ended up having enough room for the 6 of us. The staff members were extremely nice and helpful and went above and beyond. We never ran into one unpleasant staff member the entire week. Their cafeteria had excellent food and a gentleman who worked there even made my husband something to eat that was not even on the menu! The pools are great, the location is perfect, and every 10 minutes buses for each park came and went. My son left his light saber souvenir in our suite the morning we left to go home. I notified the hotel and they purchased a brand new one and had it shipped to our house! It was the perfect first Disney experience for our kids, we couldn't ask for more. 😊
