Our room was nice and cozy. The front desk responded fast when we needed extract towels and soaps. The housekeeper brought us the towels and the soaps in around 10 minutes. Registering to our room was fast and easy. The gift shop resolved a problem I had with a toy in minutes. The restaurant has a nice variety of food. I love the food plan, is a great investment.
We stayed in a room that has not been renovated/upgraded yet. I still love Pop century, I think it's one of the best value resorts at Disney. Clean and comfortable. Easy to park and easy to get around the rest of the resort. There was a few options for breakfast items. I felt like my waffles were a little undercooked and my potatoes were cold. I was happy either way.
One of the newest Disney hotel resorts. You take a bus from here to any of the parks. This is virtually identical to the Animation Hotel. Decorating differs. Hotel consists of many buildings. At least nine. Nice looking, well maintained. Designed to allow rooms to be quickly renovated, if you look at the details. Small rooms. Murphy bed plus queen.
Service mostly good. Some push back when I had issues I brought up. Didn't really expect that from Disney. Didn't bring bags to room until midnight after complaining and explaining bags contained required medicines.
If you want Disney on the cheap, book one of these places on one of the free meal plan weeks. We did Disney less than $200/day pp. Including trinkets.
Stayed here on our honeymoon for two weeks. All in all a very nice, clean hotel and we had stayed in one of the renovated rooms. Noise wasn't too bad although we were on the 4th floor end so not many neighbours to worry about. I would certainly stay here again as it is good value so you don't over pay for something that you don't really spend a whole lot of time in. Only advice is to pay the extra ~$10 to get a "preferred" room that is closer to the transportation and classic hall (food court & gift shop) so you don't have to make an expedition just to fill your drink mug. A definite recommend to stay!
We've stayed at the Pop Century resort several times. Our most recent stay was in Building 2 in the 50's section. Our room had a refrigerator, but no coffee pot and no microwave. Also, the beds are not as comfortable as similarly priced rooms in major hotel chains. The main selling point for me is convenience, because it's easy to hop on a bus in front of a Disney resort and visit the theme park of your choice. My son loves the cheese burgers & fries at the Pop Century dining hall. They also have some healthy options like fruit and yogurt, which I appreciate. The only glitch I ran into was when I used the Disney android app on my phone to check in. The app gave me my building number and room number, but I neglected to write it down. When I reopened the app later, the room information was missing and I couldn't remember my room number, so I had to go to the front desk to find out what it was. Hopefully they will get the app fixed soon so that it will retain the room info.
We loved our stay at Pop Century. Rooms are decent size although the bathrooms are a bit small. Bus service to & from the parks is good as Pop Century has only one stop at the resort. Walking distance from even the furthest rooms to the Main Hall is not as far as some other Disney resorts so this is also a plus. We used the Bowling Pool during our stay, one of the three pools at Pop Century. This is a quiet pool so it was nice to relax here & go in the pool. The Food Court has good selections for meals & snacks but can be very hectic at breakfast. You can also walk across the bridge at Hour Glass Lake to visit Art of Animation Resort if you wish. The lake is also nice to take a stroll around as well. Overall, this resort has decent amenities for a Disney Value Resort. We would stay here again.
Their newly renovated rooms are wonderful. It's clean and stylish and offers a lot of room for luggage and bags under the queen size bed. Lots of shelves in the bathroom ( which is beautiful). Mattress is super comfortable, even the Murphy bed. There's a table and entertainment center, bedside tables, and a little coffee station. There's no carpet, which I don't mind, but there's a slight echo. Would definitely stay here again.
Really great hotel for the rate. The rooms are pretty small and it seems like they're the furthest bus depot, longest walk, last stop. Not sure if that's related to the rate but makes sense if it is. As always though, the people at this resort are just as great as anywhere else in Disney. Always greet you with a smile, ate willing to assist any way they can, and always made us feel special and welcome. I don't know if we'll stay here next time but we definitely had a good time.
The place is set up to be dated, which is a good thing because the place really is.
I was happy when I called from the airport the morning I was checking in and asked for an early check in and was able to get it, my 2 sisters on the other hand didn't get there room until almost 6:00 pm and they both checked in on different days. One the same day as me and 1 a couple days earlier.
When I went to breakfast at there buffet/cafeteria style food court there were so many people in line to pay for there food that it was cold before I could sit down to eat.
The room where the vending machines are smells like a urinal. I wouldn't get food or ice out of the for no reason.
I stayed here with two friends over the summer Upon graduating high school and finishing our first year of college. We got two rooms to share here and the rooms were great. Simple but had everything we needed and everything was working. We had a drain issue In our tub which they fixed immediately while we were in the parks and we figured it was due to the renovations they were doing to many rooms.
The best part about this resort was Nina, who welcomed us at the front desk at check in and was very forthcoming and helped us out with absolutely everything. She took her time for sure, as we were talking with her for a solid hour and a half, explaining the app to us and setting everything up. She knew answers to everything we threw at her and it was fantastic. She even got us extra fast passes and exclusive fast passes to rides that didn’t even offer fast pass yet! She was definitely one of the major factors that for me, made my first Disney world experience incredible. I will definitely come back here and stay at pop century again just because of her.
My family and I really enjoyed ourselves at this resort. Though it is considered to be apart of their "value" package we didn't notice. The food was great, the room it's self was nice for the price, we got everything you'd want for a place you're just sleeping in since most of our time was spent at the parks. Only complaint was the bus stop was always far from the parks but we got used to the walk. Helped burn off some of the calories from all the great food we ate!
We love staying at the Pop Century. We have stayed there 4 times and will be staying again in January 2018. We love the Disney atmosphere with all various Disney Statues. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort, which we thought was great, but it didn't feel like we were staying at Disney. We always get the room overlooking the 50's bowing pin pool and really enjoy it. Everyone is friendly and helpful. It is a great value and we highly recommend it!
I am staying at pop century resort with my husband and 2 children. We are all very happy with the resort so far. The rooms are much more spacious than expected and just as clean and well tended as we expected. The hotel staff members we have interacted with has been remarkably helpful and friendly. The children love the decades themed decor, the super fun pools, and the resort scavenger hunt. The adults love the price, convenience, and the wonderful amenities.
It has been awhile since we stayed at Pop Century last time. I must say it has improved. The rooms are being renovated, we however were not lucky enough for one of those. The room was clean and comfortable. Having a special needs child food menu it important when looking at places to stay. We were very impressed with the new menu at Everything Pop. The food choices were so much better. The buttermilk fried Chicken was great, so happy they had that since the rotisserie was to peppery form him. Would definitely recommend ordering a whole pizza for a family. Everyone we had run into staff wise was also very pleasant. I must say I think we will stay there again.
Pop Century's amenities are great. Our room check-in in was smooth, but our service at check-in was lacking. The room location is good, although not what we requested at all. We had requested a room close to transportation, which we're far from. We also requested two beds as we have 3 guests in our party. We ended up with one bed and were told we could not switch rooms and a roll away bed would be an extra cost of $16.95 per night. The pools are great and the food offerings are great as well.
