Stayed here for a wedding. The event space was nicely done and the reception food was good. The accommodations in the Lodge are lack luster. There were dead bugs on the tv stand/dresser, windows haven't been cleaned in near 15 years. The resort is in a great location but soooo outdated and "cold". Wouldn't stay again.

We were there for a wedding everything looked nice the food was good and the event went well. The rooms and hotel area were out dated and needs to be remodeled. Needs some money put into it to make it worth while to go back

The rooms were not the best, the cellular reception is non-existent which is something I can easily live with, but the internet was so slow, it made me wish I could use my cellular data instead. I stayed in the Inn section and it looks very run down, still uses the old, big TVs from the past; in fact, it was the first hotel I stayed at in over 3 years that hadn't upgraded to a flat screen TV. The description of the place made it seem like it was a wonderful resort, and it was a nice location; however, all feeling were removed as soon as I got in the building I was staying in as it looked very run down. The main lodge area looked nice, but I didn't see any rooms there to make an opinion.

I've been there 3 times. Most recently my family and I went there in the winter of 2016. We won't be back. Ever. 1 star because the quality of the hills is overshadowed by my disgusting room and my poor experience with management. Here's the bad and the good and the indifferent:

The Bad: We stayed in the Lodge. The rooms are poorly cleaned, my room had feces smeared on the side of the tub when I checked in; Management does not care about you, after 4 attempts to get in touch with them (3 direct requests and 1 comment card) I have still not heard back.

We checked into our room, dropped our stuff and went skiing. When we came back and used the bathroom, we noticed poo smeared on the side of the bathtub. When I called the desk they asked me if I wanted them to send someone up to clean it up. I said no, that I would take care of it. I was shocked that they didn't immediately offer me a different room. After 3 separate requests over multiple days to speak with a manager, nobody ever called me or got back to me; I never spoke with a manager. Each different individual assured me that I would be contacted by the manager. I even left a comment card saying that I wanted to be contacted. A dirty room is one thing, but feces smeared on a bathtub that wasn't cleaned up is entirely another. The thing that brings them to one star is the fact that I was repeatedly told that a manager would contact me, and that never happened (even when I called back a month later).

The good: The hills are nicely designed runs, with something for every level of skier. The prices are competitive.

The indifferent: Lift lines, and wait times are average. Each of the times I've been there, I've never seen the upper circles open.

Hill maintenance is average. Grooming is done in the morning, but no evening grooming is done (which is done at some other local hills)

The on-property dining is average. The snack bars are as expected. The bar is as expected. The fine dining, "Dantes", is above average quality food (that's not to say excellent, but certainly good), but exorbitant in cost. This is listed in "indifferent" because you don't have to pay the exorbitant cost if you purchase a ski package.

The bottom line: The hills are good, but whatever you do, don't stay on the property. Who knows what you might find in your room!

Hotel has nice packages for unlimited golf. Hotel is is fairly dated and could use some upgrades. Both courses were in ok shape for early season but some greens really need some help.

The resort is decent for what you can find in the Midwest. The vertical isnt that great, but there are quite a few runs to choose from. I really wish they would install some high speed lifts. The lodge is decently sized and they allow outside food.

We stayed overnight with our 6 and 8 year old kids. This was their first snowboarding experience. We were so pleased with the whole experience. The private instructors were excellent with my kids, meal tickets made eating easy, and the rooms were perfect for our family's needs. I would recommend this location to other families looking for a first time getaway.

I've been to devils head before and quite enjoyed myself. But our experience this week was less than ideal. Upon arriving, we had to switch rooms because ours did not have a patio, as was requested and promised. Once in our new room, we discovered our heater wasn't working, so we switched rooms again. This really cut into our ski time. As it turned out, though, that wasn't a huge hindrance, as there was only one lift open on the whole mountain, so we ended up doing the same 3 slow, boring runs all day. Not worth our money at all. It's okay, though, because all the while we were looking forward to a delicious steak dinner that evening. We come inside around 6pm, and we're informed that the Cornucopia restaurant would not open that evening. Keep in mind, this restaurant is the ONLY option for guests. We were told instead to go upstairs to the cafeteria, which was supposed to be open until 9. When we walked upstairs around 6:10, there was a girl putting chairs on the tables already, glaring at us. She seemed annoyed to when we ordered 2 burgers and an order of mozzarella sticks, and she handed us 2 burgers and had to go "find the chef." The burgers had huge chunks of salt in the meat, but at this point we were desperate. After refueling (kind of), we went back on the mountain for some night skiing, when the POWER WENT OUT. On the hill. So it's pitch black on the trails. We could have gotten seriously hurt if we weren't experienced skiers and riders. We just came inside to the bar after that. Oh, forgot to mention too, earlier in the day the woman who claimed to be the bear manager was sitting on the well, with bottle toppers visibly up her ass. My boyfriend took a photo. All and all a pretty terrible experience at a place where I usually have enjoyed myself. Disappointing.

Seems to be one of the great place for you to go and enjoy Skiing 🎿 or Snowboarding 🏂. They have plenty of slopes for all skill rangers can enjoy from easiest to expert slope in addition to some park terrain slope where you can do tricks and jumps. The admission fee seems relatively good price, but you may have to pay extra if you wish to rent the equipment. Highly recommended for anyone who wish to enjoy some winter sports!
