Manager was not interested in showing. They told us they have good amount of stock and 2 days later when we arrived, stock was gone. Manager or sales person was just bullshitting since they got good orders one day back and now not interested in showing options.
I visited in west Towne mall, madison.

This store is huge! Sales people were very helpful and know their products. She had options narrowed down quickly by asking questions about what we wanted. Prices are in line with other stores with the same type of products. The only negative would be that the young person welcoming people near the door might have had a little enthusiasm when saying hellolol

Worst buying experience ever. Multiple mistakes on the financing papers , had to drive multiple times to sign documents per customer service, however every time I got there, no one knew what to do, was promised that the general manger will call us, but no one called!!!! Delivery was rescheduled two times due to order entry problems! Onetime during our visit, one of the managers told my wife " I don't have time to review the final bill, I have customers that are ordering and that's how I get paid" in another words, once the get you signed the don't care!! They got their percentage! I placed my orders one month ago and still waiting for some of the furniture to get delivered and the final bill to be fixed!!
Apparently,once they get your money customer service is not something they provide any more!!

Really excellent service and good sales. Quality solid food furniture as well as some Sauder stuff in back. Decent range of price options but nothing dirt cheap. Recommended for families and working adults but not college student/dorm furniture.

We are new to the area and was referred to Steinhafels by our new neighbors. We had to purchase living room furniture for our new home. There was lots of selection and many high quality pieces. Many of these pieces were reasonably priced. Our sales rep was particularly helpful with finding us just the right set and had a keen eye for decorating as well. She helped us pick a custom pattern for one of the chair pieces that perfectly coordinated with our sofa! We had a good experience and I recommend Steinhafels to anyone looking for good quality furniture at reasonable prices!

I had bedroom furniture and a mattress delivered along with a couch delivered a couple days later. I got calls updating me on when they would arrive. The first delivery came earlier than the expected time. I was given ample notice and the men who delivered the items were very careful and diligent to make sure it was set up properly and exactly where I wanted it. It was a great experience. The couch came later than the expected arrival time but again I was given an update on the progress of the delivery throughout the days. The two men who did the delivery were very apologetic about being late. Apparently some of the previous deliveries took longer than expected. They were careful to make sure the couch was delivered in mint condition. They had to take the legs off and carry it up a flight of stairs cause it didn't fit in the elevator. They both were such nice people and made sure everything was perfect before they left. I can't say enough about the professionalism and great attitude of those that delivered my furniture. My experience with the buying process and the delivery was great. Steinhafels rocks.

It was great!! The two fellows who delivered the mattresses were wonderful! We have a small house but it didn't phase them a bit! they moved an older mattress for us into another bedroom with no complaints & more than willing to move it! They gave me the covering for the mattress & reminded me to wash it before putting it on the mattress. They were just kind, fine young men from the first call that told me they'd be here in 20 minutes to the time they were done couldn't have been more than half an hour. I have absolutely no complaints at all! You should be proud of delivery people who are this conscientious, professional, knowledgeable about the product & where to put it and, basically, just very fine, kind nice people!

Ordered a piece of furniture online. Delivery was scheduled during work hours so I contacted Steinhafels and told them the contact info of the building manager to let them into my unit since I will be at work. Steinhafels took down the information I provided.

At the time of the delivery, they called me and all of the sudden said that they cannot leave the piece of furniture here because they need my physical signature.

1. Why deliver only during work hours? Don't you realize that people need to be at work?
2. Why not tell people right upfront (online or over the phone) that they need to be home when the delivery happens?

Never shopping there again.

Steinhafels has the best selection of quality furniture in the Madison area. While the sales staff are friendly and helpful, I never feel really comfortable when dealing with them. There seems to be a bit of attitude and high pressure tactics to their sales effort. Has not stopped me from going back and make additional purchases.

A wonderful experience. The sales rep, Chris, was knowledgeable, helpful and not pushy. Our mattress was delivered by two very nice guys who were efficient and friendly. When our piece of furniture arrived, which had to be ordered, it was super easy and convenient to swing by and pick it up. They loaded it quickly and I was on my way. I'd definitely buy from Steinhafels again!
