I stay here pretty regularly for work and the rooms are very nice, comfortable beds. The only reason. I ding a star is some of the staff there are borderline rude. When you come in exhausted, starving at 4am you've been working or on the road all day and it's cold and snowing. The last thing you want is have the night clerk argue with you on whether or not you have a reservation. Get off your butt, let me in and check the computer. Or when you had to work until 6am, sleeping and having the day clerk banging on your door like the cops demanding to know if I'm staying or leaving. These two could use a crash course on hospitality otherwise the hotel is really nice and I enjoy my stays there.

This place manager Tyler is very racist just like the front desk lady Paula and they both were very rude and had a problem with me cooking but they had a kitchen in the roomsthe hotel was dirty and they had dogs pee all on the stairs. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!

During my 7 month stay at this hotel, I was treated very poorly by the staff in Madison.
When the desk lamp in my room stopped working, the maintenance person kept replacing it with other desk lamps "in storage" which did not work. After giving me three different lamps, he finally gave me a new desk lamp which actually worked. This situation occurred at a time critical period, when I was working from the hotel room at night via the internet and needed a decent desk lamp.
The same situation was repeated when the coffee maker stopped working. I was given old coffee makers from "Storage". Eventually I was given a working model.
The Laundry room was rarely cleaned. The third floor passageway from the elevator to my room had obnoxious and pungent cooking smells 24/7 from the other tenants and also because the windows at the ends of the passageway were NEVER opened.
When I mentioned these challenges to the staff their reply was "We understand your frustration" and then they promptly went ahead and did nothing about it.
On Friday 17, October at 2 a.m the side entrance door to the building was damaged and the safety glass destroyed by a tenant trying to forcefully enter the building. On other occasions teenagers were running up and down the passageway racing each other at 12.30 at night.
In view of the fact I was paying over $1000.00 per month to stay here while on a work assignment, I find this kind of treatment unbelievable.
I doubt that after this I will ever stay at one of their hotel chains again.response / report this review -

I love this hotel!!!! The staff are always very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very spacious and always clean. The location is great not far from West Towne Mall and other shopping centers are close by along with plenty of restaurants . I usually travel to Madison for business but I always prefer to stay at this hotel the prices are very reasonable and it really does feel like home away from home
